Prospect Inc
Prospect Inc. Malvina Szczech PROSPECT INC. A FAKE COMPANY THAT WILL TRY TO REEL YOU IN - JOB SCAM ALERT!!!! Floral Park, New York
17th of Jan, 2011 by User249281
If you have recently applied to a Marketing job with the company PROSPECT INC. in NYC (located in Floral Park), you're in for a scam. People like me who are recent college grads, and even people struggling to find work in this poor economy, are being watched and reeled in by these scam artists. I have been e-mailed before by scam job companies who have gotten my e-mail from job boards, and promise jobs which are too good to be true. Prospect. Inc is one of them!

First off, I wasn't even sure if I had applied to the job that Prospect had e-mailed me back about. Their e-mail was VERY general, even though they included my name (probably from a generated system), and listed several other jobs that were open. They claimed my background was great, and they wanted me to come in for an interview immediately. Confused about it all, I e-mailed them back asking which job I would even be interviewed for since they listed at least 5 or 6 different open jobs including very generalized categories like "PR", "Event Planning", "Sales", "Marketing", etc. They emailed me back stating that they'd like to discuss all the different job opportunities and then choose TOGETHER which job would best fit my credentials.

This was not the case. I knew before I even went to the interview that it was going to be a nonsense scam. I emailed the company back after Googling them to find out more information, and not finding any information or mention of the company whatsoever on the internet. Apparently their site was down "until the end of the week" and they had a "designer working on it currently" so that hopefully it would be back up in the next few days. Totally bogus. A week later and there's still no sign of the company at all. No ad agency or P2P company DOESN'T have a website. Fishy.

They claimed to have popular clientele including Home Depot, Victoria Jackson, and other big companies. Doubtful. I drove to the interview, and the office was located in a disgusting industrial wasteland, in a small building with one room (a waiting room with a reception desk) and a room that some man was bringing people into for interviews. My interview was scheduled for 1 pm, and apparently 8 other people were scheduled for the same exact time. I sat there patiently waiting with the others, aged probably 18-60, to be interviewed one on one. I waited approximately an hour for my interview, even after I came 15 minutes early.

I knew it was really fishy when even one of the older women questioned the receptionist in front of everyone about how some of the jobs seemed open-ended, and unclear. She also asked how long they were around for, to which the receptionist replied 5 months. The desk she sat at had a phone, and a few files, which I read stated "Round 1 Interviews", "Round 2 Interviews", and "Round 3 Interviews". Also, every phone call that came through were ONLY people asking about making appointments for interviews, or directions to the office. There were no business calls whatsoever coming through. The girl at the desk was also unprofessional, blasting a radio, and dressed in jeans and a tight skimpy shirt.

When I finally had my interview, the man who was questioning me did not even introduce himself properly. He shook my hand and asked how I was, didn't state his name, and tried to be friendly by complimenting my coat. He asked me several questions about my background, most of which had nothing to do with the job. He explained that they were ONLY looking for Marketing Manager positions to open up more locations and manage the offices throughout NY. He asked if I had any marketing experience, and I told him I didn't, but highlighted my other communications skills and experiences. He didn't really seem to pay attention, diverted my attention by asking a few other questions, and then told me he wanted me to come back to the office the following day for a Round 2 interview. I asked him questions about salaries to which he was reluctant to answer, and his explanation of the job was terrible. He ensured me that I'd see the breakdown the next day and that I had to drive again so I could carpool and follow an associate to an on-site location. Then, he complimented my coat again and told me I was "stylin and profilin"....completely unprofessional and unacceptable. On top of that, he didn't even give me a time to come the next day, a person to contact, or give any details about my appointment to the receptionist for my next interview.

I don't know what people get out of doing this, or how they have time to waste on interviewing a slew of candidates that are probably not even fit for the job, but it's definitely a SCAM!!! They want to waste your time with multiple interviews, spend money on transportation, and likely promise you a lot more money than you will really make. He even claimed that an entry-level position was about $30,000 a year and that a managerial position that he would train and hire me for (with no background) was a 6 figure income. Complete BS!!! I'm just writing this to help others so they don't waste their own time. If you get preyed on by PROSPECT INC, do yourself a favor and don't show up.

This company has changed there name to ALL IN ONE INC in Floral Park. Please watch out because they have ads on GlassDoor.com and other job search websites. Don't fall for it. If you get a funny vibe your probably right, There website doesn't even focus on the work that they do or show examples, it just gives you information of how to get a job at this fabulous company. They email you with a name. hr@ gmail or other email providers they don't even have a professional email. I guess there job is not to manage the details when doing a scam on people. I called and made a appt for an interview and I told them I was a graphic designer and how that would relate to their job offering and they said they have various jobs?

Their phone number is 516.233 2627.

I have been to an interview for this job as a brand ambassador. All in One is legit and there ARE many campaigns. I understand why you think this is a scam, though it is not if you educated yourself as to how this business works. I couldn't work for them because of my school schedule, but I recommended it to my cousin to apply.

Don't complain, especially if you're unemployed and not willing to try to work.

I have also interviewed for them just last Thursday.(ALL IN ONE INC. in Floral Park)

I have a full time job but I am looking to change directions in my career. They made me wait 2 whole hours. I was scheduled for 3pm and I interviewed at 5 pm. A gentleman with blonde hair, young, probably my age (27) was very friendly but I never heard him introduce himself to me. when he learned what my current job was it turned out that he was a friend with my boss and i had asked him for full discretion.

He also said that he wanted me back for the 2nd round interview and that since I have been managing since I was 22 on my previous job and I have an associates degree in Marketing Management that I would be a great fit to the company and he believed I can make a quick progress and make 6 figure income. We discussed training at Home Depot as one of their biggest clients and it sounded interesting to me at first. But after not hearing back from them for over a week after that interview even though he told me I would be contacted in the next 2 days I realized there was something very strange with the company.

So I called 3 days after not hearing from them to follow up on my status, I got the voice mail and I called at 2pm which was odd and left a message with my name and phone number and never heard back from them.

So from the very beginning there was no professionalism. I still don;t understand what the "thing"is with this company and what exactly are they doing.

If I hear back from them I will update my status here.

This company is a part of Smart Circle who has dozens of offices around the countries running a pyramid scheme in which they prey on College students and recent graduate to illegal solicitation of local businesses and communities.
What many people have been saying about this company is
-work 10-14 hours days with less than minimal wage.
- Dozens of ex employees that didn't receive their check.
This office is run by Andre and Ryan.
Avoid at all cost.

Google Smart Circle scam and you'll know exactly what this company does.
Currently they switched their name to ALL IN ONE MARKETING INCORPORATED
110 JERICHO TURNPIKE S101,
FLORAL PARK, NY 11001

The owner is currently Andres Grandados.

The only way to stop Smart Circle and its subsidies is to through word of mouth.

SO HAPPY I FOUND THIS!! I started a complaint years ago against PROSPECT as it was called then, under RYAN IRISH. Grandados is another crony. and "JESSINNY" who defends the comments above owns and runs her own scam and met Ryan in this cult and they are now married. HA, what a scam, smart circle and the whole bunch.
I looked into legal actions but sadly ran out of time and then had to serve overseas. I was promised a lot of money and never was paid right. When I left he (Ryan) owed my 1, 200 dollars..never saw a dime. He text me after I complained online and asked if I could remove it.
LOVING the fact that this has spread, and he and them have been exposed for their bullshit way of leading people on and treating them like this. I hope it continues and sends them all back to AZ and Carolina and Florida. Poor Kyle..and Jared..I thought they were better than this.

The Prospect Inc people are now running ads under the name LIA. this leads you to believe they are the Long Island Business association which they are not. They are using the same phone number and the ad is similar to the Prospect Inc. one. Don't waste your time with this.
