QWEST
QWEST QWEST SWITCHER PROGRAM GIFT CARD PHOENIX, Arizona
14th of Jul, 2011 by User247777
I had been a Cox Communication customer for years with very little problems. I recieved a call from Qwest on November 10, 2010 offering a $200 Visa gift card if I would switch all of my services (internet, local and long distance home phone, Direct TV) to Qwest. It sounded like a decent deal and since I would be moving soon, I could try Direct TV. I scheduled to have all of my services installed and turned on December 10th, 2010...my move in date. I was required by Qwest to go online and fill in information and provide a copy of my previous COX bill. I did this on January 3, 2011 per description status below. Description Status:
Qwest Switcher Promotion Online
$200 Visa Card
Tracking #:262541 Processing Check Status
You have successfully submitted the below information for your Qwest
Visa Prepaid Card. I was assuming that the $200 gift card would be arriving soon per the promotion promise. I called several times to check the status and Qwest kept referring me to a different company and phone number who they said was handling this promotion. On Feburary 3, 2011, I was informed that the company handling this promotion declared bankrupcy and was out of business!!! Qwest had no record of my promotion gift card.....so they "recluctantly" took down my information, put it "in the system and wait in line". I was told it would be at least 10 -12 weeks until I recieved my promised gift card. I was looking at the middle to the end of May! I called again after 10 -12 weeks as promised....and Qwest representative said they didn't have a record of my submission and I would have to refile.....but they could only give me a $100 gift card!!
After a lenghty discussion......I got my information corrected and would have to wait longer for the $200 card. Over a period of 2 months, I must have made 15 calls to check the status. The answers I got from Qwest representatives were: 1. "I'm sorry..I totally understand but there is nothing I can do."
2. "Let me have you speak to someone else" (pass the buck!)
3. "Your claim has been filed and it will go out in the next batch of cards on Monday" (they send out batches of card on Monday only...I guess)
4. "I can almost guarantee you will get it this week"
5. "Wow..that has been a long time! "
6. "We can file an expedited claim and it will get to you in 15 days...FOR SURE" (Supervisor said this) Here is is July 15th, 2011. I checked my mailbox to find nothing from Qwest...except a bill from them for me to pay for my internet, local and long distance home phone, Direct TV service....ON TIME...OR ELSE THEY WOULD DISCONNECT MY SERVICE!!!!! How ironic!! BEWARE!!!!!!
