Rent a Terstappen / Thrifty Munich Airport
Fraud
13th of Feb, 2012 by Heather Sweetnam
RENT A TERSTAPPEN/THRIFTY MUNICH AIRPORT - FRAUDSTERS My husband and I hired a car from Rent a Terstappen at Munich Airport on 21 January 2012. They are refusing to return the 600 euros deposit we paid because they say there is a scratch on the car. This is a lie! Because we hire cars regularly we have extra insurance with Insurance4CarHire and we have been told by them that they will probably pay up - but I don't want them to - why should they - its a FRAUD! I have already been on to the Consumer Protection Organisation in Munich and various other agencies. I also intend getting on to a solicitor in Germany and the police. Watch out Rent a Terstappen!

They were not supposed to take 600 euros from our creditcard. They did anyway.
When getting 600 euros back on creditcard we were 60 dollars out because of exchange rate.
They made us take out insurance while we had insurance on our Visa.
Big Scam.
Do not ever use them again.
We went also through Expedia and did not know Verstappen was Dollar and Thrifty's agent.
