Last year, I called a recruiter from Robert Half to see if I can get an appointment to see if they had any jobs available. Back then, they were really good at not returning calls. So I generally avoided them. Fast forward to a year later. I get a call from someone in their Boulder, Colorado office wanting me to come in and fill out paperwork and all that jazz. They saw my resume on careerbuilder. So I did. The sent me an email with the address to the place about 3 hours before the scheduled meeting. So I barely had time to get things ready and printed out before I got there. They then said that in the context of my background, they would be willing to forward my resume to their technology section to see if they can hook me up with any tech related positions. I said fine. so a few months later, I get a call from a chick named Andrea in their Denver office. She said she had a possible position in Centennial, Colorado that only lasts 8 weeks. I live in Firestone, Colorado. that is a long way away in terms of driving. And to top that, it paid LESS than what I make in unemployment benefits. I told her no thanks because of the drive time. She agreed with me. She then asked if I would be willing to come down to their office in Denver to see if they can help me find work in northern Colorado. That's sort of like saying "oh, I think I will go to England to see about finding a job in Thailand." To be professional about things, I told her I would. After giving her my correct email address, she said she would send me an email with the address of their office and other information. This time the email never came. Then I get a voice mail from her expressing concern that I did not show up. I did not return the voice mail. But I would recommend this company be avoided like the plague. They don't do what they say they will do and when they do it, they are half assed about it. It is a really rotten company to do business with.
