Robin Group/AA Martels, LLC/Cresta Properties, LLC Nightmare managing company/slumlord Century City, California

Warning: Do not do any business with Robin Group/AA Martels, LLC/Cresta properties, LLC, they are a bunch of slumlords. I'm one of the unhappy tenants at their property on Martel Ave., Los Angeles. Since they took over the building, they kicked out all the poor section 8 people, raised the rent, and want to get rid off the old tenants. For the last 4 months we have to deal with construction noise, chainsaw machine, unruly workers, because the Robin Group are fixing the empty apts so they can rent out for $1800/1 bedroom & $2200/2 bedrooms, we are in LA not Beverly Hills. Meanwhile the old tenants apts are not being fixed. Also they did a cheap job on the new apt., windows are flimsy, shoddy work, electrical wiring without permit/ a LA Housing Dept. inspector was here and cited them, the case is pending. The will have to fix 3 or 4 apts from the Section 8 people moving out in Feb. 2012, so if you rent here you won't be in peace & quiet to the rest of 2012. My wood floor buckled up in my bedrroom in July 2011 from a leaking bathroom, and now the wood are in pieces, the RG gave me one excuse after another, had me call to cancel my case 3 times with the Housing Inspector with the promise to move me in to the new apt., that was BS. I guess they are waiting for an accident or a lawsuit to happen, how stupid is that? My apt was so old that I gave them a list of things to fix, and they didn't do anything, the Housing Inspector just came out and gave them a 2 day notice to fix my heater because it was red tagged by the Gas Company. The Gas Company came out 2 times and said the wall furnace had a crack, so they have no choice but to fix my heater. But they didn't fix the crack or replace the wall unit, their attitude was the City inspector said to provide heat and that's what they did, they don't care if you are dead from the carbon monoxide from the crack of the heater, as long as you have heat. Right now i'm waiting for my floor to be fixed. So people STAY AWAY from these slumlords out to make a quick buck, especially from the apts on Martel Ave., once you rented from them, good luck of getting things fixed. It happened to me and other people. I welcome any ideas or advices.
