I want to support and commend the individual that posted the Ripoff Report. I had to write this after reading the reply by Roma, Murphy & Horowitz. I worked for a short time at RMH as a collector, by the way there is no Roma, Murphy or Horowitz. The names are made up to represent the sound of a Law Firm with an Italian, and Irishmen and a Jewish name. The guy that works somewhere in Colorado that pretends to be Murphy is some on the lamb drunk guy. Weird situation. Ben Murphy or Todd Murphy, really weird. Everything that the ex-employee, or as Roma/Romero likes to call them 1090's, everything he said is absolutely true and probably understated. While I was there I worked with some homleess drug addict and other felons. The most unprofessional circus I had ever experienced. John Romero would scold you for being 1 minute late from a 10 min break or 1 minute late from a 30 min lunch, or not being at your desk at 7am. And he says we are Independent Contractors. LOL. I worked hard and always got screwed at commission time. Romero has a trick of altering collection reports and making magical NSF (Non sufficient funds) copies to screw you out of commission. After this happens people either take it because they can't leave because they have no place to go or any other options, or they leave and he not only gets away with screwing them on commissions and stealing their money but now all their accounts become house accounts and he makes more money. My favorite part was his claim that he is a commercial collection agency. Really? If so then why does he illegally take and work consumer paper or retail accounts? Maybe someone has copies of these consumer account letters that were sent out. Does he think when the authorities finally depose his so called Independent Contractors that they are going to lie for him due to the fact he has been so generous and kind to them? Tic, Toc, Tic, Toc, your Karma Loan is being called John Romero, aka: John Roma
