What a crook. I called Ron to come fix my Atwood 2 stage heater. When Ron showed up his "electrician" was with him. I told him the 2-stage heater would not work and he started complaining about Atwood because their "2-stage heaters were trash". Ron had a bad attitude from the moment he got out of his vehicle. Ron went inside the RV and told his electrician to "connect 12v to the TH+ wire to get it running". I protested reminding him it was a 2-stage and the thermostat connected over a I2C bus and that would ruin the furnace. Ron told me he had been in this line of work 30 years and he knew what he was doing. The electrician hooked the wires up to Rons specifications and POP! I heard the board blow in the furnace. A few minutes later ron and his electrician could not figure out why it was not working and called Atwook Tech Support. The tech on the phone was going over the wiring and ron told him they had bypassed the thermostat by wiring the 12v to the TH+ and TH- wire. The tech (Mark) told him that this could not be done on the 2-stage model and Ron franticly waving at the electrician wispering "take it off, take it off". After a few more minutes Ron and the tech at Atwood diagnosed the problem as a bad thermstat. The thermostat however worked perfectly fine and powered up. Ron covered up his fault for wiring the furnace wrong by blaming the thermostat. turns out the thermostat just needed to have its own 12v power wire hooked to it to work. Know it all Ron ruined my furnace by wiring it wrong after I told him not to. Then when talking to Atwood and the place the furnace was purchased told them it was faulty wiring in the RV to not receive blame for what he had done. In addition he told me I owed $175 and he would be out with the replacement thermostat when it came in. I waited for 2 weeks and Ron never called. I finally called him and was told the thermostat had been sitting in his shop and it would be another $175 to come out and install it. I told him that was rediculous I had already paid him to fix the problem which he never did. Ron then started yelling and cursing so loud over the phone everyone in the room heard it. I just hung up and let him yell at his phone. Now I am out of a $800 furnace, $175 service fee to fix it. DO NOT CALL scam RON
