After replacing my regular electric furnace with an undersized system (that now barely saves me money, in spite of their claims), they had the gall to engage in extortion to try and get another $4000.00 CDN out of me.

In order to do this extortion, they tried to withhold my government documents, making me ineligible for a $6000.00 + CDN dollar grant normally awarded to retrofitters. Luckily, the Canadian Geothermal Association sided with me and, after much wrangling, got them to release the documents. That's when I found out that they had cut costs (in spite of their high initial price - over $22,000 plus tax - though my house is tiny!!!!) and given me such an undersized system that the Canadian Geothermal Association couldn't give me certification.

It was lie upon lie, with them blaming my other contractors (who were working on my foundation). Lies, doctoring of documents and extortion - yup, that Ralph Ross' way of working at Ross Refrigeration of Springhill. BUYER BEWARE!!!! Now, thousands of dollars later in insulation to try and cope with their shoddy work, I'm still reeling from the complete lack of ethics of Darrin Embree (project manager) and Ralph Ross!!
