Are you kidding me? I have been a long time customer of Sage Telecom. Is this the best they can do? I wait for a phone call for results of a biopsy only to find my phones land line is completely dead. I only have a land line -- no cell phone. I am largely alone with no transportation since the 5 surgeries on my cervical spine and am disabled. My phone and computer are my lines to the outside. And so, it is a big deal when I do not have service. So I decided to not bleed all over my neighbor's porch begging to use the phone. Instead I decided to sign up and contact Sage the modern way, afterall, Sage wants everyone to receive their bills online to save money. Their site says that you can schedule a repair online -- so modern!! But no way, no how, is there anything remotely approaching CONTACT! You may however, pay them in multiple ways. Sage also tells you to test your own inside lines and unscrew the box on the outside of the house for an additonal test. This was so much fun as I played human pin cushion for IVs (I was told 5 must be my lucky number -- yeah, this does give me pause) at the end of last week and today is Monday. Not to mention cutty cut cut too! So I am on all fours trying to move furniture to unplug followed by going outside to find the box and unscrew while I am holding a corded phone to plug in and holding my parts in place that have been messed with, only to find according to the Sage website that it is an outside problem. Why have a website if there is only one way to communicate. Namely, buy something from them or pay them for "service"?? Why say on your website that you can schedule repairs when that is not true. The last time the "service" went out it took over a week to have it fixed and then I had to sign up for an additional "option", billed conveniently in monthy installments for an entire year -- before they would send a "technician" out (he was a no show a couple of times and could not find the problem and had to come back a couple of times -- great training!!). I have already been held up and robbed by Sage. I have no way to contact them right away. Despite Sage's website saying schedule a repair which cannot be done, they give PHONE NUMBERS to call if your "service" is not working??? Stupid!!! Sage cares about raking in the money anyway that they can. There is hardly any customer service unless you like to be on the phone for an hour trying to get to the right person while getting hung up on a number of times. That really did happen the last time -- it was over the course of 2 to 3 days just to schedule a repair . And I really was held up and robbed with their mandatory "option" that I had to pay before they could schedule a repair and had to be verified by my neighbor's phone a couple of days later that I was signing up for the "optional insurance/blood money" option. You see the "option" was explained that I could be on the hook for many Hundreds of dollars to repair a phone wire if it was on the inside of the home and it depended on "something" indeterminate if I would be responsible for the outside phone line repair as well. It was really explained to me that as soon as the "technician" virtually crossed my threshold that I would be potentionally on the hook for hundreds of dollars AND once the technician put a single toe across the threshold -- IT WOULD BE TOO LATE TO THEN PURCHASE THE INSURANCE. As a matter of fact, I believe that The website alludes to Sage's very helpful repair insurance. I was told that I would need to pay all the money that the tech charged to do the repairs if I did not purchase and pay the installments over 12 months -- there is no way out of this payment either. Seriously, I am suspicious of Sage in that one day your line is fine and poof, the next day it is dead. I realize that Sage wants to keep to a bare bones minimum the amount of pay "wasted" on the employees in the United States, and the more customer service that you provide (like sending out a real live American employee) the greater the cost eating into those profits. However, I would think that they would at least let you describe the problem and really be able to schedule a repair --- ONLINE. It seems like that would save money. Why have a website that account holders cannot contact you? No, instead when your line is down call them to report that you cannot use your phone? Stupid!!!! No real customer service and Sage will make you cough up money before they service their line that you pay for the privilege to use paying over and over and forever. Is there any service anymore that actually delivers what they promise -- without reading all the small, legal exceptions???
