I gave a call to one of Salisburys sales agents and asked them if they could tell me how much a particular home would cost on a particular lot. The Agent told me they could not give me any prices until I went and got pre-approved with their Lender. WHAT????????? I said, you mean you will not give me a price for a home until you know how much I qualify for??? And the agent said Yes. I said that is unfreaking believable! I am already approved with a lender and know how much I qualify for. And that amount is none of your business! He gave me some excuse that they dont want to waste their time with people who are not qualified but that is just bologna! I am already approved with a lender! I told him, You just want to know how much I am qualified for so you can price the home accordingly. He said I know it sounds weird but that's how we do it. What a complete scam! They want to know how much you are worth before they will give you a price! NO ONE in the building industry does it this way! Be VERY careful when dealing with this company!
