Secure Data Recovery AKA California Data Services is a scam, fraud and a scam that spams the internet with over 200 different websites leading customers to believe that they are over 200 different companies that are local data recovery centers in hundreds of different cities and towns. The long list of websites listed below are securedatarecovery.com which is also californiadataservices.com. They will lead you to believe they are local but will ship your drive out to an undisclosed location without your knowledge. If you have a minor problem, they will tell you it is a major problem such as read/write heads costing nearly $2000. In situations where they know they can't recover good data they will often require a cashiers check (so a customer can't dispute charges) made out to World Acceptance Group and provide useless garbage data. This company also spams local business listings creaiting its own 5 star reviews which are fake for each local listings. I'm not sure how they got the written testimonials on their website that are supposed to be from major corporations. My thinking is they are either fake, paid people to write the testimonials and if legitimate the customer just didn't care about the thousands of dollars the recovery cost since the company was paying and just happy to get the data.
