Seeger Toyota
Seeger Toyota Tom Seeger Used Scare tactics to sell extra and overpriced parts St. Robert, and St Louis, Missouri
17th of Jan, 2011 by User121067
My mom took her car in for a recall on the steering shaft of her Toyota Avalon. While waiting someone came out and showed her cuts in all of her tires. And she came in with the tires in good shape. Then to sell her a set of new tires. They told her how she could have a blowout. So they scared her enough she bought the set.

So I look over the ticket when she tells me what happened. I call up our tire dealer and for the exact same tires they charge about half the price. And there is also charges for cutting off some of the lug nuts. Claims they were cross threaded. I had put them on the last time from a brake pad change. And Im very careful to not cross thread them. Then I drive the car and whatever they did wrong installing the tires. You can hear them rubbing when you turn.

So after all that Im not happy and I call the St Robert dealership. And talk to I guess was a service manager. Instantly he gets defensive. Then starts cussing at me. Then wont tell me his name after I say Im going to report him and the dealership to the BBB and Toyota Headquarters. So obviously I wasnt getting anywhere with the St. Robert dealership.

So my mom calls to talk to the owner. Tom Seeger at his StLouis Dealership. But tries many times for weeks andhe is never there and never returns a call. So I send a few emails. Finally after a couple more weeks he calls and leaves mom a message. She calls back. And tells Tom Seegerof the incident and of theway I was talked to on the phone. He gets rude too. Doesnt cuss her like the other guy did me but still gets pretty rude with her. Basically not caring how his employees treated a customer. So mom knows we arent getting anywhere with him either. So she ends the call with if thats how you are then We will buy all futureToyotas from other dealerships. He says good and then hangs up.

So now she has tires on her car that are rubbing. And were overpriced plus extra labor and parts from claims of the lug nuts being cross threaded. I called and emailed toyota and reported it. But they said dealerships are independently operated and they couldnt do anything. Other than take down the incident and have it on file.
