Starbucks Starbucks is ripping off customer email addresses and giving them to third parties (Spammers) Seattle, Washington

Starbucks is running a scam survey and providing their customer's email addresses to spamers. Here is how it works. A customer is given a printed receipt with the following statement on it. "Share your comments and redeem this receipt for your favorite Starbucks beverage. The site you go to is www.MyStarbuckVisit.com Here is what happens. You are given a number of surveys to comple (I gave up after #7) with each one having a list of 20 companies you could check off information if you wished and if you picked 3 or more you got a bonus. Within one hour after fleeing the site I had over 30 emails from some of the companies that were in the survey and as of 6 am today I have over 100 junk emails in my folder. This type of ripoff will cause people like me a lot of lost time changing their email addresses.

Well, I also got that problem. The spammers use mystarbuckvisit.com while the address provided by Starbucks was mystarbucksvisit.com. So spammers have used an address that look like the legitimate one, but without the "s". If you put the "s" you will see that it takes you directly to to good site.
