Where do I even begin? After booking my move through another company, somehow I ended up being passed along to Statewide Relocation. Pickup was a day late (due to weather, I can understand that) however I received NO COMMUNICATION from them after they had my items. On day 10, I gave them a call to see where my stuff was and was told "it might arrive Thursday or Friday" - after hearing NOTHING back (when I was told I'd get 24 hours notice), called them back on Friday and was told "will likely arrive this weekend"). Finally got a call on Saturday from someone who barely spoke English telling me that he MIGHT arrive Sunday morning or maybe that night. Had to rush home and WAIT around for them to arrive (the office was closed & the driver didn't answer his cell phone). My items finally arrived late on Saturday morning and I was immediately ripped off for a $75 "long haul fee" when my apartment is literally steps from the parking lot. I had only one person unloading my belongings, the truck driver, and the process took FOREVER. I was made extremely uncomfortable by the driver as he repeatedly hit on me while I was alone in my apartment. ALL of my boxes arrived extremely beat up, with many FRAGILE labeled boxes arrived UPSIDE DOWN. The driver offered no assistance as far as taking boxes to their intended rooms and I was left with a pile of 20 heavy boxes in the middle of my living room. When I unpacked I had several glass items shattered after they had been carefully packed away. And here I am, no one cares or will listen and I feel EXTREMELY ripped off. I'd absolutely avoid Statewide at all costs and try to find an honest, professional moving service.
