I found a Chihuahua puppy on oodle dog.com. My Chihuahua had recently been hit by a car in front of my house and he advertised a puppy that looked a lot like mine. He pulled on my heart strings saying he had lost his wife and son in an accident and been transfered by his job to NY from Los Angeles. I transfered the money Western Union to him and in the process of trying to find where to sent the money number came across this website with another person with he same story. I immediately reported this to Western Union and my bank. I am going to post his email so that anyone receiving such emails will be aware. He sounds very legitimate and thats the sad part.

| Wow!!! Thank God I read this...I just got the EXACT SAME e-mail from this person as it had a dog posted that I wanted. I knew it sounded really too good to be true and that is why I googled the address and name to see if I could find information on this person. | thanks for posting this I was just about to go see the puppies he had and was going to drive a long way to do so over 7 hours. thanks so much for posting. i just was second guessing the home deilvery thing he tells you that he can do. and this was the first thing that came up and i didnt even put his name in. thanks again |

| This guy also has an ad posted on Craigslist for a pair of Samoyed puppies for free. I asked if I could pick them up in person. He could never agree on a time even though I am available 24/7. He also told me about his wife and son being killed in a car accident. His ad was posted in Texas but he said he and the puppies were in Indiana. He wanted $350 to send them both. I asked him to call me about the details but he never did. PLEASE stay away from this guy. He has NO dogs and is a major LOSER! |

Well this is an obvious scam from the beginning. The punctuation, and grammatical errors are suspicious, as they're over the top. The "too good to be true" description, and the sob story are all known tactics of scammers. Lastly, his request for personal information, and the sudden urgency to deliver with such a high fee is the biggest red flag of all. I don't understand how anybody would believe the cell phone bit, and the fact that he is in control of the entire transaction should make any normal person uncomfortable. I feel sorry for anyone that bought this for a minute.
It's also a damn shame that anyone would be so desperate for money to tug at one's heartstrings, and betray that trust we should have in other "pet-owners". |
