Hired lawyer in 2004 for a family law case. He was to get me my child support. I sent him documents, tax returns, etc. After almost 2 months I had not heard from him, so I called. He said he did not have my paperwork. I proved that it was sent return receipt requested and he had signed for it. Then he apologized and said that he had file dit under the wrong name.
Then he proceeded. He did nothing that I can see. He quit my case day before trial. I could not reach him for months before my trial date, nor at all after.
I have no idea if I can get in on a class action suit against him. Total loss of child support and alimony is over $350,000. And worse, I never got my half of my assets. I have 4 smart kids that do not get to go to college now. Every time I called, a new receptionist would answer and say he is busy right now.
Due to his actions, I did not get support, did not know my case had even ended and spent another 2 years trying to get money to get a new lawyer.
He is a scam artist.
