Stoneberry Failed to Honor Pre-Approved Credit Limit Monroe, Wisconsin

Stoneberry sent a catalog stating I was "Pre-Approved" but they didn't specify a credit limit so I placed a small order of $65 plus shipping. They send me a letter in the mail a week later saying that they want a 25% down payment before they can process the order. Are you kidding me??? What happened to pre-approved? So I told them to cancel the order and my account. I will not be doing business with this company now or in the future. Also if you look at the catalog or website you'll see that most of their products are insanely overpriced. for example they are selling a Playstation 3 160gb system for $430. You can get the same system anywhere else like Walmart, etc. for $250! That's $180 profit they are charging you for! SCAM!!

It makes me laugh that when people dont get what they want they act like small children and start calling names.

1. PRE-APPROVED = read the terms on the catalog it explains it.
2. obvously your credits poor, so why are you complaining that they want a small down payment to cover themselves until you build a history.
3. the prices are inflated to cover the costs of extending credit to people with poor credit histories. So any form of credit extension to folks that have hit hard times is gratelful...and yes I am one of them.

So bascally, keep your bogus opinions to yourself and dont blow it for the rest of us.

And the same thing I tell my kids...JUST BECAUSE YOU DONT GET WHAT YOU WANT DOEST MEAN YOU ARE GOING TO GET IT IF YOU START CALLING NAMES AND MAKING UP STORIES. GROW UP !

1- it bugs me when companies use tactics like this "pre-approved" crap you state. don't put pre-aproved on if people are not PRE-APPROVED, irregardless what the fine print says.
2- You don't know this person, don't make assumptions, makes you look like a child who isn't getting his way.
3- You are correct but the example given is ridiculous. 180 extra on 250. You'd have to be nuts to pay that for a luxury item.

There is a sucker born every minute (as per PT Barnum) so I don't think a comment on a site like this will blow it for anyone.

Finally, the op did not call anyone names and if he made anything up how would you know?
