I purchased a phone from Straighttalk.com online to be shipped to a friend in California, The first phone was defective and came with a defective battery as well! After buying a new battery, the problem was still not resolved. Myself and my friend in California, both were told to try a new batter y and then to return the phone to Walmart who also sells this phone. Walmart finally agreed to a refund, only after I called Corporate! It has been very difficult to deal with Straighttalk , because they "outsource" their customer service to India or somewhere and these people cannot be understood! When you ask for a supervisor or someone who speaks understandable English, they say: "they are a suprevisor or put you on a long hold , then hang up, and then send you an emai st ating that they tried to "resolve the issue" but you hung up on them! MY problem is I bought another phone after being convinced that the first phone was just a fluke! It wa slate past the 3 day guaranteed shipment, then they tried to triple billmy credit card until I caught that. Finally after I requested that they "ID" the recipitent because mutiuple units and people use the same address . Naturally, they let another person sign and take the second phone. (The first time my friend had to go to the local Fed EX office to get the phone after she wasn't home!) Due care wasn't taken by Fed EX the shipper for Straighttalk. I cannot get the the phone company to rectify this situation! I believe that someone else has stolen the phone and activated it!All because of the vendor and it's shipper! I cannot get a understandable person from their support department to assist, None of them are helpful! Do busiess with this company at your own loss!
