Summitt Energy Misleading Job interviews ottawa, Ontario

I found an interesting job description online saying: "Hot water tank inspector, no exp. required, training provided". I called and got an interview. On the Ad it said you can make anywhere between 500 to 1000 $ a week... I figured depending on the amount of hours you work or the amount of clients you go see to inspect their water tanks. The day of the interview arrives and I enter a room with a small office on the left a few other small offices in the back and a meeting room on the left as well, this is the standard meeting room of any MLM / Direct Sales company. There were posters of exotic vacation destinations... i know typical isn't it. I ask right away to the office manager Julia if this is a sales Job. She denies it and says "we don't sell anything" to which I reply okay then explain how it works, how do I make money. She says commission... Well if there is commission then there is something to sell... she says that we don't sell, we rent out water heaters... Ohh then the job is not being a water-heater inspector, its a water-heater pusher... basically another door to door sales job. My complain is that the Ads are very misleading, they do not even put the name of the company in the Ads so that you can research it and there is no reference to selling or commissions. All it says is hot water tank inspector no exp required, training included... Once the truth had come out I just got up and left... wouldn't be surprised if there was a sign up fee and you had to give them some leads of your friends and family and probably buy one yourself, but that's just speculation since I didnt waste any more time there.

I just want to warn everyone that SUMMITT ENERGY has been going around Ottawa (Avalon neighborhood in Orleans). I had someone at my door on July 17, 2013. He said he was affiliated with Ontario Energy Board and wanted to verify if I was paying HydroOne's "new price" or "old price". When he put me on the phone and they asked if I agreed to a 5 year contract, I hung up the phone and slammed the door in his face.
Summitt Energy is a scumbag company and Carlo Cavaliere (rep no OK 1364) is a DISHONEST, MISLEADING, LYING jerk. If he comes to your door, tell him to get lost and call the police.
