| I was a paid member of an adult swinger site, SwingTowns. I heard from some good friends of another new site that was offering FREE 1 year memberships. I invited some friends to check out the new site and was banned from ST, as others have been banned, as well. What we do in our personal adult life is our business and we certainly should not be made to feel we have some contract with the owner, Jay shoemaker. I paid my memberships to be on this site and spent the last 3 years promoting SwingTowns. The owner seems to feel betrayed. IF we pay for any site, rather its dating, swinging, or even emails..its none of his business and we should not be banned for living our lives as grown a** people! BEWARE!!!!!! |

Fact #1) A former volunteer chat moderator from SwingTowns.com stepped down as chat moderator. It later came to light that the reason that chat moderator stepped down was to work for a competitor.
Fact #2) This chat moderator was very popular and asked her friends to join her at the new site. Her friends proceeded to start spamming SwingTowns.com
Fact #3) SwingTowns.com is a very popular swingers website, recognizes that swingers like variety, and thinks that's great.
Fact #4) SwingTowns.com spends many thousands of dollars each month so that members have lots of fun and meet new people every month.
Fact #5) Because of advertising, SwingTowns.com has more happy members than this other site trying to spam SwingTowns.com. If that website wants more satisfied members, they too should try advertising ethically rather than spamming and costing the few members they do have their memberships and reputations at other sites.
Fact #6) It is against the SwingTowns.com Terms of Service for anyone to use SwingTowns.com to advertise without prior approval. If a website wishes to advertise on SwingTowns.com, they should contact customer service, and we will gladly discuss our advertising packages.
Fact #7) Anyone that spams the SwingTowns.com mail system, chat system, im system, or in any way inhibits the wonderful experience that SwingTowns members enjoy will be banned, as stated in the terms of service.
Fact #8) Jay Shoemaker founded SwingTowns.com in 2001.
Fact #9) SwingTowns.com is all about providing a fun and relaxing atmosphere for our members. Anything beyond that (spam, drama, etc.) is removed.
Fact #10) SwingTowns.com is a great place to hang out. =D |

Also, it is important to point out that the initial poster, Nan Hoban, is not just some member who was sharing some website with a friend. Nan Hoban formerly worked as the chat moderator for SwingTowns.com.
She stepped down as chat moderator and began working for a SwingTowns competitor from her home state of Indiana.
Nan Hoban was not banned for sending an instant message. Nan Hoban was banned, because the site she now works for started spamming the SwingTowns system. SwingTowns sent the spamming competitor a cease and desist letter and banned all reported associated accounts. |
