Letter I sent to Tax Masters, says it all! I am a very dissatisfied customer. I have not received any services I requested or that Tax Masters claims to offer. I am demanding to have my monies returned in full as soon as possible. I should ask for the additional man hours, insufficient funds, stop payments and returned checks as well as all the fines and penalties from the IRS since August 2010. To get this over with I just want my $4,000.00 back as soon as possible and not after 60 days! I would like to know that you have received this request. If I do not have a reply within seven days, I will turn this letter into the Better Business Bureau. I contacted Tax Masters in August of 2010 because I wanted help with my payroll taxes. The CPA we were using did not send us or the IRS/State the proper forms for 2009 or for half of 2010; resulting in the IRS/State sending us letters with deadlines to pay for those months not filed. We then purchased Tax Masters services with the agreed upon goal of starting a payment plan, reducing the penalties, and avoiding liens/levies. I was assured you could help and you would call me within the week for the info needed to prepare the forms to send into the IRS by the deadline. No one called so I called you and had an almost identical conversation with a different representative promising a return call. After a few days of waiting I had a new CPA do the work for me. Since, I have been charged for things I did not ask for and did not need. I was charged for 2007, 2008 and 2009 Federal Income tax returns. My income taxes had already been filed and refunded before I called you. We sent Tax Masters everything that was requested and all documents received from the IRS/State as it came in via fax and clearly marked with our Tax Masters ID. In February of 2011, I called and informed you that the IRS was threatening liens/levies and I was promised a return call within the week to let us know what was happening between you and the IRS. The return call never happened. I called again and talked to a Sharon about the levy that I had received from the IRS. I was concerned at that time because it was evident that no one was keeping up with my case. She assured me it would be taken care of. She began as all representatives do when I have called in the past, stating that I did not have all the documents that I needed in. I assured her that I had sent in duplicates of everything requested twice before and I was not going to do it again. She mentioned the Federal Income Tax for 2007, 2008, and 2009 as all others. I told her I never needed that service because my income tax returns had already been filed. Then I called after the monies were levied and was met with the usual response stating that our current representative is not in and we had to start the process over with a new uninformed representative. We have even had our Tax Masters ID changed causing confusion and more work faxing the past documents with the new ID. On May 6, 2011 a levy was placed on our bank account and they took out over $7,000.00 out of the account on the very day we paid payroll, resulting in insufficient funds, stop payments and returned checks. I counted on your help to keep this from happening as you promised before receiving our payment for your services!! Out of necessity, I called the IRS myself and inquired about your services. They told me I did not need Tax Masters. I could do it all myself and that they have means of helping us get a payment plan and will send an officer to help us. In conclusion, Tax Masters has cost us valuable time, severe frustration and added financial burden instead of the relief and help that your ads and representatives promise. Thanks for nothing, but lost money and peace of mind.
