Texas Moving Services, aka: Nationwide Movin Services contracted a move for us in January 2011 from Tennessee to Texas. First of all, Texas Moving Services subcontracted the work which is something Michelle swore they never did when they were selling us the move on the phone. Two men showed up in a U-Haul truck claiming their truck had broken down on the way to our house...then, the lead mover said he left his tools on the other truck and asked to borrow mine. Secondly, the guys, who finally arrived after taking two days for the trip, demanded a cashier's check or money order, no cash, which I already had told them I had, BEFORE they would unload anything. Meanwhile, I called Michelle and anyone who would speak with me for 8 hours and got a girl who acted like I was calling to order a pizza...I never heard back from anybody...EVER! Thirdly, they REFUSED to show us our bill of ladening OR our weight tickets claiming they didn't have one and weren't required to stop at any weigh stations. I spoke with a guy who claimed to be the dispatcher who said he was doing me a favor by not charging me for the extra weight yet would not produce a Bill of Lading. Fourthly, we have approximately $6,000 in damaged/destroyed furniture/appliances in addition to lost boxes and lost/stolen jewelry. The contract states they would dis-assemble and re-assemble any furniture (other than appliances) and they refused to re-assemble all but our bed. Texas Moving Services will not take our calls nor respond to emails or messages or work with us at all to resolve the damaged items. In fact the company they use, Anthem Claim Management, is not only on scam report too, but has refused to respond to our efforts to contact them as well. In summation, we were told lies to book our move, then had our belongings subcontracted out to two men who arrived 2 days late after claiming their truck broke down and they had left their tool box in the other truck. We also have over $6,000 in damages plus lost/stolen goods and NO way to get this resolved other than a lawsuit which is on the way. We are filing with every appropriate authority possible to make sure this doesn't happen to other unsuspecting people as well. BUYER BEWARE!
