My fiance and her two friends visited the rush fitness in Dalton, GA. The complex was relatively new and we had been talking about getting a membership somewhere. Well I was at work and received a call from her about joining. She said that They were offering very good deals and that we could add or remove any from the account if they didn't like it at no cost or hassle. My fiance comes home with the paperwork and stated that I didn't need to sign anything, that the girl there whose name was Candace didn't care if she forged my signature. That struck me as odd, but I thought "Oh well, I'm sure there won't be any problems." A couple of days later we went to add my fiances mother to our membership and we find out that we cannot add her without creating a whole new membership. So after argueing and talking with the people at the gym, they wrote up a new contract and I signed it to get her mother added to the membership. Now fast-forward 6 months and we have 2 of the 5 people not willing or wanting to pay their part of the contract. I ask while at the gym if I can have them removed because they are not wanting to pay their part and am told no, that its impossible unless I have everyone together, I am moving over 50 miles away, or have a medical disability. This is the exact opposite of what I was told in the beginning. So i call corporate offices to discuss what my options are. Like an idiot I am still willing to have a membership if they could change it to just my fiance and I or if they will just cancel all my memberships. Once again I am told that it doesn't matter what I was told at the gym, that they do not honor verbal contracts or agreements, and that only the contract that i signed is what is valid. So now I am still paying for 2 people to go the the gym that do not attend and will not pay their part. There is nothing this company is willing to do to rectify their poor business practices used by their club staff and they also explain the only way to contact upper management is to email them? Needless to say, do not do business with the rush unless your going to have everything said written in a contract.
