If you haven't heard of the Utah Card yet or a company called circle text and they come to your door, be aware that they are trying to sell you an over priced service that you can get for free. Circle text is a company based out of salt lake area that does text marketing. At first glance it appears that they are offering you a good deal with signup prices starting at only 149 and rec curing charges as low as 59 a month. Their salesman are going door to door to businesses across the state, many of them are not registered in the cities they are soliciting to, so if a salesman for circle text or the utah card knocks at your door, ask for their credentials first, i believe you will find they have none and are not licensed to solicit in your area. Some of the salesman are claiming that the card is backed by the Utah state governor, as well as backed by the state of Utah. In contacting the governor's office the secretary at the office stated that they do not endorse products of any kind for any vendor. Further, they make the claim that Utah state backs them, this assumption is claimed based off the fact that Utah supports all business small and big in the state of Utah. When coming to your door the salesman will claim they are with the Utah hospitality association. Be advised that they are working for Circle Text not the non profit organization. The Utah Hospitality association is a non profit corporation in the state of Utah, membership and services from their organization is FREE! So if someone comes to sell you something and claim to be a member of The Utah Hospitality Association, don't pay them a penny. Google Voice and Google Apps both offer free text marketing for small businesses so don't waist your money or your time. For free text marketing go to google and search "google text marketing to see your free available options to grow your business. Stay away from circletext.com and their employees.
