| TIBCS is supposed to be a non-profit cat society furthering information on the Bengal Cat. Instead, they have harbored their Ethics Chair, Annette Lerche Trolle, Trollspotting Bengals, in Denmark, who was allegedly convicted of animal abuse. In the rental property that Annette Lerche Trolle trashed, it was reported in the media that 94 cats were seized and 42 of those cats were Bengals that were so severely ill they had to be euthanized. TIBCS' Executive Board members posted "sympathy" for Annette Lerche Trolle to public group lists, but no sympathy for the abused cats. Allegedly this is the 3rd property that Annette Lerche Trolle has trashed. It was only after a brave Bengal breeder posted to her Web site the truth about Annette Lerche Trolle that she was finally permanently banned from TIBCS. And what did TIBCS do after banning Annette Lerche Trolle? They banned this good and ethical breeder for posting the information about Annette Lerche Trolle and the horrible conditions of her cattery. In May I met with a woman from Vilionia Ar to see her Bengals. She wanted me to meet her on the WalMart parking lot in Cabot, Ar. She brought several. She told me a story about her little grandson that was killed by road rage and this money was going to setup a scholarship in his memory and she started crying then I started crying and she said I don't want you to buy one because you feel sorry for me. She said the money was tax deductable. I do know there was a father & son killed in an accident caused by road rage. The father was her son-in law.
I had concern for the kittens because 2 had runny eyes. I told her I would get back with her.
We adopted our grandchildren 8 years ago and our little grandson is autistic & has allergies. I read on line that it had been discovered that Bengals are good for children with allergies.
I did call her back and ask if I could come and see the parents. She said she didn't have the parents but I could come. When it came time to meet her she changed the meeting place. When she came, her vehicle had no air(heat index that day was 104) and the kittens were in great distressed. I told her she needed to place them in my vehicle & she did. I told her about my concerns and she didn't comment. I did give her a $100 for deposit and she said it was refundable because I hadn't signed a contract of adoption yet. She said she had another litter coming and if I wanted to wait to see them I could.I ask her how much the largest one was and she said $500. At that point she ask me how much I could pay and I replied I would have to talk to my husband but I knew he wouldn't be willing to pay $500 and she ask how much could I pay.
Then when we started to leave I told her it was too dangerous to take these kittens back with no air---they would not have made it. I told her I would take them--so I followed her. When we got there she said we couldn't come in because her house hadn't been cleaned. If it looked anything like the outside I wouldn't want to go in.
I decided to wait on buying until we have Joshua tested again. We do have 1 cat we adopted 12 years ago and he does fine, but the dr thinks it would be wise to check him again before we bring another one in.
Long story short she cashed the check as soon as she got it and wrote on the back non-refundable
The money is not as important as my concern for the wellbeing of the kittens. One of the little female kitten's had some sort of rope tied around her and I ask why. She said someone bought it and that was her way of remembering.
She said the parents of these cats came from her neice that has a cattery in Searcy Ar--I think the name of it is Wild Trax.
I just think these little kittens deserve better,
Yes there were all kinds of red flags but I am a sucker for a sad story. |
