My daughter was in a car accident on a sunday, the car was towed to Tommys autobody that same day. My daughter called that monday to give Tommy info on our insurance, ect... Tommy said he would start the repairs right away and asked my daughter if she needed a rental car that it would all be covered on top of the waived deductibles.
6 days later we learned that the insurance adjuster was going out on tuesday to look at the car. My daughter and I came in on wednesday 6-22-11 to pick up paper work, receipts and info as to when the car would be ready. At this point Tommy is not in and we dealt with his brother was very pushy to get me to sign paper work. Manager/brother kept telling me to call insurance to release payment to them immediatly. My daughter asked about the rental car, the manager said no we cant give you a rental car, because we all ready waiving deductible. My daughter told the manager this is what Tommy said to me over the phone, a rental car and waived deductible. At this point we are arguing with him, I finally said to my daughter lets just go get the car go somewhere else. The manager yelling saying he will charge us storage fees and break down of the car. I have never been treated like this from a company/business, unprofessional. We walked away, told him I will call the police for him to release my car. As my daughter and I were getting in to my car, the manager came out knocking on my window. He said "Please, Please give us a chance to repair your car, I dont want problems, please give us a chance, I will give u $100 for the rental do what you want with the money I will try to have car ready 2weeks, I will put ur car first ahead of everyone else"..... After speaking to my daughter, we decided to give him a chance to repair my daughter car. We came inside the office once again. This office is very dirty and hot. Their were 2 other guys in the office who kept interrupting the manager as he was trying to explain car repairs ect... These men look scary, sumthing out of a crazy circus! The manager was very anxious at this point, trying to hurry me up to sign, sign.
I told him to calm down let me read what im signing, looking at the paper work their were NO amounts to the charges. I told the manager I cant sign unless their are amounts. Of course it showed on his face he was very botherd by my questioning paper work. He went ahead and put the insurance amounts on the paper work. To make the long story short he gave us a bs story that Tommy wife past away recently he could not be here, brother would be handling his business.
I singed paper work including release of my insurance payment to the shop. I was given copys all except 1 missing out of 3. On 6-29-11 now 13days car in the shop. Once again we stoppd by to pick up my daughter baby-stroller she had left in her car and to see what the progress of the car was. The manager told my daughter they need another 2-3weeks for the car to be ready. This upset my daughter and I, I told him enought is enough I want to get my car and I will see u in court!
The car should have been ready by now, all the arguments back n forth could have been avoided if from the start they will be truthfull, professional! As my daughter and I were getting in to my car the manager comes out after us , I felt like he was going to hit us or somthing. He tells us the car would be ready next week by 7-8-11, he did not want to deal w-us, be done.
Their all about Lies, BS and money hungry!! Please do your research people, if you get involved in a car accident over a weekend have the car towed to your home while you take your time to look for a bodyshop place that you feel comfortable with and have the insurance adjuster come to your house to give you estimate. Have your insurance write the check out to you. After the repairs to your vehicle is done, pay the autobody! We learned the hard way, but in all stay away from Tommys mobile autobody repair!!!

| I had a similar problem with Tommys regarding the insurance check and they were very pushy about signing it over to them prior to completeing the work...they are very unprofessional. |

| they want the money from the insurance company before they start their so called repairs. stay away from this company if you want quality work done and complete work, they are dishonest...and i dont care if they do say have a blessed day every time you leave |

| I took my 08 bmw 528i to TOMMYS MOBILE AUTOBODY SHOP to have some minor scratches repaired on the rt rear quarter panel and truck lid. He said that he could easily do the repairs for less than $600. I agreed and gave him the car. After about a week I went by his shop and the car was not there. I went by his house and my car was in his driveway. Make a long story short a month later he calls me and tells me that the car is finished and the bill is $6200.00 I told him he's out of his mind. He told me he fixed all the door dings on the car that he wantedit to look right. I NEVER AUTH HIM TO DO THAT. He had also filed a mech lien. trying to collect the money. Finally to get my car back I paid him $1500 and find out that they had not only been driving my car but it had my spare tire on it. Come to find out they had hit something so hard that the rear axle was shoved foreward. They used sub-standard paint and had painted all over the car. There were runs in the paint and even a harden finger print in the paint where they checked to see if the paint was dried. So far the cost to fix is close to $7000. I TOOK THE CAR TO MY INS COMPANY AND HOPEFULLY THEY WILL PROSECUTE TOMMYS MOBILE AUTOBODY. |
