| Tony Rubio's name is becoming popular in Los Angeles county and the San Fernando Valley. Unfortunately, his popularity is based on the numerous people that are filing lawsuits against him for unscrupulous business practices. Over the past few years he has passed himself off as a foreclosure specialist, a loan modification guru, and a real estate mogul just to name a few. His latest scam is conning people into paying him $1,000 to purchase his new "Credit restoration system" using the business name of 1st Credit Educational Services, LLC. Mr. Rubio picked up one of my business cards from a legitimate business owner in Mission Hills, California. He contacted me and asked for my assistance in helping to write documents for his new business. Over a 4 week period, I interviewed Mr. Rubio, wrote his biography, edited his credit restoration manual and made arrangements with a translator because Mr. Rubio needed all of his materials in both English and Spanish. Our agreement was for him to pay upon receipt of the documents. On March 16th I delivered files to him for the edited English manual and the Spanish translation of a newsletter that included several question and answers and testimonials. When setting up our meeting on the 16th, I also sent him a detailed email with the price for each document that I delivered. At the meeting, he asked if he could give me the money on Monday, March 21st. I agreed to the extension. I have not seen Tony Rubio since that meeting on March 16th. The past 5 weeks have been spent with me leaving numerous voicemails, text messages and emails with Mr. Rubio responding to me maybe once a week. He would often text me first thing in the morning and promise to call me at a specific time later in the day. He never followed through on any of those promises. After finally reaching him by telephone on April 5th, he acted surprised that I was questioning his ability to pay. He said that he ALWAYS pays. He then gave me another date that he would DEFINITELY contact me and pay me and as usual, he did not follow through on any of the promises. I started researching his name a few weeks ago and discovered that Tony Rubio has a history of scamming and conning people in the San Fernando Valley. He continues to set up new businesses and when people take legal action against him, he simply walks away and starts another business. As of earlier this week, the cell phone number he provided to reach him is no longer receiving messages which means that he has stopped making payment on it and it will more than likely be disconnected in the near future. DO NOT HIRE TONY RUBIO TO HELP YOU REPAIR YOUR CREDIT! His new business, 1st Credit Educational Services is being distributed with materials that he is not authorized to use because he has not paid for them. Tony Rubio has a long history of disappearing when he owes money and it is evident that his word means absolutely nothing. I am currently looking to connect with other people that Tony Rubio owes money to. My voice is not as strong alone but collectively as a group we can combine our resources and make a strong effort to make it more difficult for Tony Rubio to continue his unsavory business practices. |
