Our contract stated that the job would be complete on Dec 1st of 2010. John showed up within a few days and started cutting down the tree, they removed all the brush and branches they cut down. I work full time so John knew he would be dealing with my wife for the most part, he hit up my wife for a draw aganist what we would owe him after completion. He told my wife that one of his trucks was broke down and he needed $500 more to fix his truck to complete the job. John had been very nice at this point so my wife decided to grant his request.

The next day John and his crew arrived, finished removing the samller items from the yard and John asked my wife for the remaining balance. He told her he would be there the next day to remove the massive tree trunk. My wife, being a trusting person, gave John the balance.

The following day a guy showed up with a truck and trailer, cut the massive trunk into a dozen or so pieces, then left. He left every .piece of the tree trunk behind. Dec !st came and went, I called John and he said he had had some problems and he would be out the wek of the 1st to collect and remove the rest of the tree. That week came and went, my wife called him and he once again said that things were hectic and he would be out the week of Dec 6th to collect and remove the tree trunk, that week came and went.

I called John, he told me that times were tough and gas money was tight and he had another job starting in town and he would collect and remove the tree trunk when he was in town on the other job, he told me worst case he would have the tree trunk removed by Christmas. Christmas came and went, I called John again, he acted surprised when I told him the tre trunk had'nt been removed, he told me I'll call you right back, he never called back.

I called John again, told him I was prepared to take him to court to have this matter cleared up, he told me good luck with that! He also said I will get the tree picked up, he understood why I was mad and he would have the tree trunk removed by Frday Dec 31st at the latest. The 31st came and went and now John wont answer any calls or return any messages. I tried calling him several times today, no ansewr. I used a friends phone to call him about 5 minutes after my last try on my house phone, what do you know, he answered and as soon as he heard my voice he hung up on me! He called me back, whisteled into the phone and hung up on me again. I tried calling him after that and he had turned off his phone.

Thats all there is too tell at this point, John had a pocket full of cash and I have a massive tree parts laying across my lawn. I guess court is going to be where this one ends up.
