Truelocal website has been manipulating customer feedback regarding a
Business called Back to Basics Natural Therapies in Melbourne. They
have now removed 7 negative post from the site after it has been
approved by the moderation team. Back to Basics have
unqualified practitioners, falsely use logos of massage organisations
that they don't belong to, and have been advertising on Spreets,
running promotions that don't deliver on the promised value. They
provide such bad service that many customers have complained, yet
Truelocal.com.au keeps removing these negative post. I think it should
be illegal for a business to so easily order Truelocal to remove
negative post and manipulate the reviews to their business, deceiving
hundreds of unaware customers because they have a false impression that
there are only postive reviews to the business on the truelocal site
which claims that they are the champions of consumer research on
businesses. I
have complained to Consumer Affairs, the organisations that they
falsely claim to be sanctioned by, and I have also attempted to
complain to Truelocal, all to no avail :( I hope you guys can do
something, so that no more customers get lied to and decieved by back
to basics. Shame on Truelocal, manipulation of true customer feedback

| This comment should be illegal. It is falsely advertising accusations to the public about a small business. Back to Basics Natural Therapies has serviced over 3500 people in 8 months, offers value for money natural health and beauty solutions. All the therapists at Back to Basics are qualified or they would be unable to get insurance! These therapist also belong to a number of massage associations in Australia. Who are you to make accusations about things you obviously have no idea about. Get your FACTS right and stop slandering this business or there will be legal action taken against you as this has become way out of hand. Do you have nothing better to do with your time than to spend your days writing those 7 innapropriate negative comments that were removed from True Local, 1 because they were highly innapropriate, they were personal attacks, unjustified and unwarranted. You are the person acting illegally here. Stop dragging a new business who is working extremely hard to deliver the highest quality services possible.This is defamation. Defamation is ILLEGAL! You havent once, out of all these complaints you have made, come forward and approached anyone at Back to Basics despite their numerous attempts to contact you to discuss any issue you may have and to correct you on your incorrect claims!!! |

Wow-This was obviously put on here by the ‘owner/manger’ If you google her name (Sarah Muscedere) you will find another failed business abroad in which lost thousands of dollars! Are you not intelligent enough to know that False Advertising is ILLEGAL! In which you have done with many customers. (Also you missed a ‘P’ from inappropriate-Duh!)
Here is a summary for you-From all the promotions that have ran equals approx $190, 000 from selling 4, 900 Spreets and Ourdeal promotions, minus the percentage that the companies take for these promotions makes it $110, 000. (But state you have serviced 3, 500) But still need to service 1, 400! Yet have closed the doors to do this)
For 2 staff members its costs approx $80, 000 a year-this is for someone who is experienced… (Which I can confirm that at Back to Basics Natural Therapies-They are NOT!! They are ‘friends’ she meet while studying at Endeavour College)
Rent per year is $40, 000 per annum. In total- $120, 000!
THAT IS $20, 000 LESS THAN WHAT THIS COMPANY HAS MADE THROUGH PROMOTIONS!
This business has changed locations 3 times 33 Waverley Street, 26 Ross Street, South Melbourne VIC 3205 and now First Floor, 226 Swan St, Richmond, VIC, 3121. They have also changed names THREE TIMES! Back to Basics Massage Therapy, Back to Basics@Unique Fitness Studio and now Back To Basics Natural Therapies!
It will take 8138 hours to do all 4, 900 promotions!! We all know this is impossible!
More has been bitten off that you can handle and we all know (even your friends) that you will run away from this and leave it for someone else to deal with-what you have done all your life.

DO NOT PURCHASE ANY DEALS FROM BACK TO BASICS
I have had two massages from this place and I can vouch for their incompetence, plus I had to complain after the first one as it was advertised as an hour and a half and it was only 1 hour and 5 minutes. I have had each of my last five appointments cancelled on the day via text message, and I have written to OURDEAL again to request a credit, the first attempt was denied. This is the standard message, Back to Basics is a total SCAM:
"Dear Valued Customer
Thanks for your email and our sincerest apologies for the delay in getting back to you.
We have encountered a back log of emails and call backs and are making our way through the list to ensure all your needs are met. This is due to staffing issues that have resulted in a lack of staff and alot of resceduling of appointments. We understand many of you have had difficulty getting through to us in order to book or reschedule and this is obviously extremely frustrating. We are doing our best to resolve these issues as quickly and effectively as possible in order to keep our word and honour all of your vouchers.
We will get back to all your requests/ enquiries asap but please DO NOT call the clinic as the receptionist is constantly on the phone making call backs, we are also using our mobiles to get back to people to help ease the load. In the case of an emergency please kindly email me and i will do my best to promptly resolve whatever it is that needs resolving.
On a more positive note, thank you for being part of such a fantastic promotional deal, its something nice to look forward to enjoying in the future.

The reason Sarah Muscedere does not want you to call the clinic is because there is no clinic. If you have bought a voucher from any promotion site I would suggest you call them and get a refund. The business is for sale for $60, 000 (Not worth that though-It is a complete joke that she can expect someone to buy this business!) and states on there that the business for sale site that Back to Basics is closed. The reason for the ‘quick sale’ is because she is relocating interstate-Moving back home to Belmont-Perth because she has failed at being a manager/owner… and is now in huge amounts of debt!
Sarah Muscedere is a very bad manager/employee and should be avoided at all costs!
She only just passed in college and that’s because her younger sister helped her. She worked on a cruise ship in which she was sacked and removed off the cruise line for her inappropriate behaviour and has never had a job anywhere for more than 6 months!
How can someone think they can run a business but haven’t actually worked anywhere for more than 6 months!
Her Facebook page is open to all and you will see that for someone who is within the Beauty Industry she doesn’t represent herself very well. Smoking in a majority of her pictures, yellow teeth and nails, dry hair and unattractive skin with horrible bags under her eyes! These are pictures where she is covered in makeup too!
Not only that but she is obviously overweight! Would need to loose at least 20kgs to even fit into a size which matches the size of her very small breasts! |

• The walls do not go all the way to the ceiling so you hear everything.
• The lights in the building are office lights so very bright!
• The machines for the facial in the salon are second hand-Not in the best condition.
• Downstairs is Spudbar-Which emits the smell of food into the building.
• The wood floors are very loud when someone walks pastto use the washroom
• The bathroom needs work and is very outdated.
• The massage tables are cheap and make a creaking noise when you lie on them.
• The layout was not thought through and have spaces everywhere for ‘Ornaments’
• The Epicure products are not genuine products-They are a cheaper brand.
• 3, 000client base -completely not true otherwise this business wouldnt be going under
• Only has one employee? Surely something is wrong with that… 5 treatment rooms but one employee? Can this manager count? :s
Overall this business should fall apart like the owner has done. I am glad that this business has failed-I believe in Karma and she gets everything she deserves! |

| Is this business still in operation!?!! My frist scheduled appointment was cancelled (and never rebooked). My second scheduled appointment for Saturday (13/08) was confirmed by an auto text on Friday (12/08). I turn up in anticipation of finally using one part of my Spreets voucher and the premise was locked, with mail poking out from under the door and the land line disconnected. HOW DO I GET MY MONEY BACK?!!! |

You will need to contact the company that you purchased the voucher from as Sarah Muscedere used many Group Selling sites-In which Thousands of customer either didnt get the service they paid for or were very disappointed with the service provided.

Some little facts for you all about the Owner/Manger of the business which has gone into Receivership!
It is NOT because of the Economic Climate that it is financially impossible to maintain this business-It is because Sarah Muscedere has a problem with being consumed with herself and spending money that is not hers.
Sarah Muscedere is back in Perth. Not Melbourne! She tried to sell this business for $60, 000 but was not successful and defaulted payments to the bank and the letting agency (Teskacarson)
She used the money to fly back and forth to Perth for multiple reasons- Granparents 50th Anniversary, Birth of Nephew, when she was dumped by Chris (NZ ex) and when Back To Basics business began to fail.
She also used YOUR money to go to Flemington Racecourse and Fashion show with Katie, Dracula’s with her sister (Elise) and also went to many dinners and events with Stacey! In which she did not use any of her own money!
She spent hundreds of dollars on herself-From buying new clothes, accessories and going for meals with one of her sleeping partners-Lee (She also paid for the medical bill when she had a termination-Which she has had multiple over the years. Has she not heard of contraception?)
It seems as though everyone has lost out except her!

We have tried emailing you via contact us but it doesnt seem to be working and there are no other contact details. This site seems a bit of a scam itself.
We have been informed about this site and have known about it for some time now. There are comments on here that are completely innapropriate in relation to back to basics and true local.
More specifically your user ''elle'' is now being investigated by police as she has used many different names via various websites to remain anonymous in order to send the owner of back to basics many threats, emails and has done nothing but spread lies that are extremely defamatory, we believe she has a personal vendetta against the owner. We have tried to approach her civilly to get her to stop making up these false accusations but she will not so we have had to go one step further.
Once we have enough evidence she will be charged by the police, they now take cyber bullying very seriously and i would hope your company is not going to be involved with such people by allowing them to spread false rumours on your site.
If the page of concern, or at the very least elles comments, are not taken down we will be taking further legal action against this site as this is a breach of confidentiality, privacy and defamation with intent to cause personal damage. Elle or whoever she prefers to be cause has already cause much emotional and psychological turmoil sarah muscedere and many others through her disgraceful actions.
We really hope this can be resolved swiftly and easily.

Please highlight what information that has been provided which is not already Public knowledge? Defamation is only being used to silence criticism. The comment made is the truth and also justified. (Screen shots of this business and also her open Facebook have been saved)
No lies have been spread, no emails have been sent (Except for the request for a refund!) Which I never had a response. Until now, in which I get a generic message of being in Receivership.
Breach of confidentiality and privacy only happens when personal information is publicized-As Sarah Muscedere has made all her information Public Knowledge from having an open Facebook page, Twitter Account and Myspace account. There is no case here.
The only emotional and psychological damage that has been cause would be because of the owner herself. Second failed business which she has run away from and spending all that money that wasn’t hers and had to pay back?
She doesn’t look very emotionally distressed with all the pictures on her Facebook... Enjoying her new romance with Lee and spending time with her dog. (Which she bought for herself as a birthday present-Again with none of her own money)
Once you can highlight what are lies and what is the truth, I am sure this can be resolved swiftly and easily. |

There was no business in the UK you must have Sarah Muscedere mistaken for someone else.
There are no open social networking pages available to the public and if there were they would not have the so called images or info you have mentioned.
Many lawyers confirm this is a case of defamation, its also a case for online bullying, harrassment and as of late, stalking.
You are a sick individual and you need to get help. You have no clear understanding of the harm you cause many people when you post your lies in a public forum such as this in the hope other vulnerable people may believe you.
The truth is that Back to Basics, like many businesses, was unsuccessful. If you get an education and look around you will see many small businesses have and still are closing their doors. Who are you to judge why or how it happened, you do not know Sarah and you never worked at Back to Basics.
Its time for you to move on, get on with the important things in your life and hope that youre ready for karma when it comes knocking at your door, aswell as the legal proceedings papers.
There is nothing to resolve, there is only the need for your lies to be rectified.
