Trustnet Financial Express
Trustnet Financial Express Steve Brown Sent me a fraudulent check, deposited it to my acct like instructed in letter. Bank of America closed my acct.
22nd of Jun, 2011 by User873105
Was sent a check for $3,690.68 along with a letter from Trustnet. I called Steve Brown as requsted in the letter. Steve told me to deposit te check into my checking account then call him back so they can send the balance of $50,000 I won. Several hours afer depositing the check, I tried to look at my bank account online. I was having problems signing on so I called Bank of America. I was then told my account was in the process of being closed due to my deposting a fraudulent check. I had no idea (but should have known better) that it was a hoax. I am on SSI with direct deposit with Bank of America. Now I have no checking account and called SS 1 day too late to stop the direct deposit. I am beyond irate with these people as well as Bank of America and their "policies". So come July 3rd when SS tries to deposit my check into my now closed account, Bank of America will send my check back to SS. I will then have to wait for them to cut me another check. These people have caused me a world o trouble. I called Bank of America, cried, begged and pleaded to no avail.

Same thing happened to me. I had been with Bank of America for a good while. And despite me trying to cancel the check immediately after stupidly depositing it at an ATM (once I realized it was way too fishy), and then meeting and talking with several Bank of America folks pleading and telling them that I had been defrauded in a hoax-scheme - Bank of America still closed my account.
I tried everything in my power to cancel it immediately. I was told first that I couldn't cancel it because it was "processing". Then I was told I couldn't cancel the check because my account is under investigation. Then I was told I couldn't cancel the check because they closed my account. In the span of just a couple hours after I regretfully deposited one single check.
The thing that REALLY pisses me off is that every time I had deposited a check at Bank of America, I usually used a teller - I have never trusted ATM's. But Bank of America always pushes its customers to use ATM's. So the one time I used the ATM - this stupid check - to deposit, I'm told by Bank of America customer service that if I had used a teller instead of an ATM, they would be able to access the deposit and cancel the transaction.
Bank of America, simply put - sucks
