Universal web consulting
Universal web consulting Universal web corp UWC will take you to the cleaners with promises of riches. Throw your money their way but dont expect much
18th of Apr, 2011 by User563557
Universal web consulting is a scam company that take your money and give you very little in return. They start you off with a $1.95 website that is paid for on your credit card. Then they will call you, Universal web consulting will suck you in with claims of earning money and lots of it. They will tell you that they have the secret and will help you every step of the way with one on one unlimited consultation. The truth is you get one hour a month of one on one consultation if your lucky. The fact is they are too busy to care about who you are or whether your online business will work for you. Universal web consulting sales people become uncontactable soon after they have your money. I was told I can replace my income and pay off my debts with this business. They tell you they are selling you a training package however you get little training and little direction. I spent a fortune and would like to warn you of their tricks. They offer a website with templates and an Amazon commission affiliate account. This makes you no money because why would anyone buy from you on your amateur estore. Just as you realise you are not selling anything and something needs to be done. Another sales person phones you they have a solution for you and that is to give them more money and they will set you up with drop shipping suppliers and high profit selling. Universal web consulting make it sound so good and so easy the light bulb goes off and you think thats it I need this to succeed. Then you realize they do not have enough trainers to train you so you get people who read off training cards and give you a couple of suppliers at a time. The problem is most of these suppliers are not very good and you will not reply to you. Once again UWC is not to be found. The only way you will learn is to teach yourself by research and reading. Their training packages start at $2500 and go up to $5000 for 12 months unlimited one on one consultation. Then the second package is high profit and how to sell on ebay. For $4000 this is a couple of emails telling you to open an account and start selling. There is no training this is a blatant lie Universal web consulting will not make you money they will show you how they make money. On top of that they will take $30 a month for website hosting but they will not tell you about it so whatever you do, do not give them your credit card detail. Please be warned.

I Have cancelled the credit card. The stangest thing is that I cant find them. I found them originally on my face book site, that has dissapeared. I go to my emails to log on and that contact has mysteriusly dissapeared. They can see if they can sell product with my half set-up web page. Good luck to the loosers!!

I filled out a form via a facebook link then spotted on the next page that they want $29.95 per month maintenance. I closed the page thinking "scam". A guy phoned me the following day and asked me why I hadn't completed the page.

I asked a LOT of questions, made him give me the URLs of 2 of their existing websites to check - both looked reasonably legit, thoguh very amateurly designed. I asked him to remind me the name of his company - Universal Web Consulting - if you google it, it looks like a college in Arizona. He said they work for a lot of clients - he mentioned amazon and sony. I asked him to name a few others - he was starting to struggle. I then asked where his company was based and he replied "America", I said where in America, he replied Phoenix Arizona.

All the way through he kept asking for my card details. I kept saying I wanted to do more research. After he told me Phoenix Arizona (the phone call was about 10 minutes by this stage) he asked again for my card details, I said again I want to do a bit of research and he said "Good luck with it" and cut me off.

SCAM!!!

Out of curiousity I tried the helpline phone number - 0808 234 3469. It would not connect the first time I tried it, the second time I got a recording saying I was in the queue - but no mention of the company name...

STINKS OF SCAM TO ME!!!

This is definately a scam. I responded to an ad "Is working at home the next Gold Rush?" which was saying how a single mother in Bristol was earning 4k a month posting links onto Google. I signed up to it thinking to myself I will get out if they ask for payment. They asked for aprox. $2 to register which was nothing, you can look it up from here-
http://www.diggin-digital.com/2009/05/is-working-online-at-home-the-next-gold-rush-scam/

Then about a week later a Luiza Moldavskaya phoned me and told me I had to "spend money to make money", showing me an example website from them of how mine should look like, asked me if I was in debt (blatant proof they target the desperate and vulnerable if needed) and did a lot of talk. She sold me a "plan" for about 2k.

A month later I got a phone call from a Ryan Murray. He did a lot of talk about training me in marketing, advertising, getting me suppliers etc. for an hour or 2 then asked me for my card details. He got funny when I told him Luiza had already bled my bank account dry and demanded why I made him talk all that time for nothing and if I had a savings account or a credit card.

Its nearing the 4th month now and not a penny was made. I phoned them asking for my money back. They tell me they used it to pay the advertisers, all of it, and can't pay me anything. Call me an idiot if you will, but this goes to show how easy it is to get sucked into it.

Thanks that I decided to do a search after a guy who calls himself William Murray phoned..then I found all these comments of having paid their money without receiving the promised earnings to Universal Web Consulting. He colorfully said that this is an associate program of Amazon and that they have more than thousand people doing this.
Then he asked me for my card details for the USD 1.95 and insisted that it should be done over the phone right there and then. I asked if I can just do it online, but said it's not possible..this made me doubt the veracity of this program.

Universal Web Consulting is a SCAM...Believe all the other comments as I fell for this too & has cost be $15, 000 USD.
To this day I have not made a penny...

Thought I'd add my tale of woe to this page... Yes, they sucked me in to the tune of $5000.. Not sure yet why I was so easily persuaded that fateful night on the phone! I'm not usually such an idiot, but I guess they are good at what they do... That was almost a year ago, and I have NOT MADE ANY MONEY! Please don't anyone fall for this company! I went through 5 different 'trainers', each of whom told me how to do the same thing, but in a different way... Now, that's really useful - NOT! My credit card company wouldn't give me back my money since the 'company' had actually sent me literature/website stuff online... If any company wants you to make your mind up RIGHT NOW, and if there are no money back options, be sure it's a scam. Sorry for anyone else who also got sucked in... Poorer but Wiser here in PEI, Canada.

I tend to check/blame self when I make errors and whilst it sounded a tad dubious, it also sounded really good. I can't for the life of me remember what I clicked initially... it was a click error.
When I got the call after 5 days... which I had not checked them out really (too busy), it sounded like yip I can do this! August 19 2011.

Now 3 Nov 2011 and next week I am due another call from Ryan? to pay another NZ $130odd bux. Reading all this I wonder WTF didn't I check scam sites before?

Luckily with 'my website' I had an epiphany that I wouldn't make much commission with Amazon selling earrings etc so switched to electronics (mobiles/kindles/tvs).

My total $lesson is to date: $414.63... what I could do with that back!

However, my 'problem' is I feel because I've not done a lot of 'work' - I don't have cause to lay a complaint.

I'm hoping if I say "I can't do this anymore" and cancel my card it will all stop??

How say you who've been duped this one time?

Thanks, grateful Christchurch/New Zealand lady ... no more earthquakes please!

I was trap in the same game, don't believe UWC corp I was scammed out of US$ 400 and I pissed off, why don't the authorities police the internet, the take advantage of the fact that many people are desperate due to the recession.

I got through to them initially on Facebook as well, now there is no trace of the link any where. I was such an idiot, beware everyone out there, there is no quick fix to your financial problems. When you think of it, how on earth can you make enough money hosting banners on you website for companies that are already established on the web? People already know these companies so the will search directly for them, not your little unknown venture.

Be ware of vultures in times like these!!!

Thank you all. I have just realised that money is being removed from my credit card and I have just put a stop to the card. Nothing is mentioned about the deductions that they start making. What they tell you is that it is a one off payment only so be ware everyone!!! They are cheats.

In their sales pitch I was directed to a Website WWW.rudyspets.com and was told this was one of the new students and look how good it is and look how many hits it has 60536, well I have clicked on this site 5 times now and still only shows 60536 hits. When you click About Rudy there is no contact details and only has photos of Rudy's Dog. I'm going to the bank to cancel my credit card.

I thought I would never get sucked in by a scam... I was sooo wrong. Filled out a web form via Facebook then saw that it was 29.95 per month so closed the webpage. Got a call from them half hour later and some American girl gave me the sales pitch. Sounded like a good idea so I gave them my details and left it until today. After checking the website (looked like it was made in the early 90s!) I decided to do some research and found this site... Boy do I feel stupid...

Just cancelled and cut up my credit card. Will NEVER do this again I tell ya!

Hi Hope, What does your website look like? Can you show us the domain name?
4325 days ago by Richard C
I am sorry to have to add my experience to others listed here. I have been through the process like most folk who have written in. This is a dangerous site and no likelihood of getting any reasonable return. There would be possibly millions of folk trying to capitalise on referrals already like these.

Please spend your money on a decent course at a reasonable price if you are keen to build a business from home and only then build a web site which may give you a good return. Most local colleges have nite courses and there is plenty of free info out there which have better support structures and mentors.

There is still no 'free lunch' and this type of 'hard sell' designed to part an optimistic and inexperienced person from their money should be avoided without full references.

I can't imagine UWC have any relationship with Amazon.com and it surprises me that amazon allow their name to be used to part well intentined people from their hard earned money.

Everybody should check out with them and report back on this site.
