These proficient scam artists ‘The Rack Family’ that operate out of Deerfield Beach, FL and Tempe, Arizona are the best that I have ever come across. They rip people off at different stages of the order/delivery process. They operate under several different company names… US Buildings Direct, US Buildings Systems Corp, US Metal Buildings Corp., and possibly other names (do your homework). I have filed complaints with the Attorney General, BBB, Dept of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Federal Trade Center for Consumer Services, and the FBI IC3 office. It appears that the governing bodies who actually have the authority and power to do something, work independently of each other which causes each victim complaint to look like an isolated case. This scam is much more widespread than Florida, it is happening across the nation. Go to Google and enter us buildings direct scams. You’ll be surprised by the number of hits. I found 193 complaints on the Florida BBB site alone. Question: Were you victimized by any of these companies that are operated by Gary / Anthony / Adam / ‘The Rack Family’? If you were, I would like to hear from you. You can post to this email thread so that others can see and read your reply. Please do not use profanity, just state the facts and eliminate the emotions. Anthony Rack is threatening to take me to court. I would love to present the Broward County, FL judge with a stack of complaints from victims throughout the Unites States. I think we need to approach this as a united front. The more evidence produced, the better chance we have of the governing authorities to step in and take some action. My best advice…. DON’T BUY FROM ANY COMPANIES THAT ARE AFFILIATED WITH THE RACK FAMILY.

Hi
This is sales over the Phone. I was going to purchase a garage from US Buildings in Tempe, Arizona on the 12/26/2011 And I signed a contract and faxed it back to them 0n 12/26/2011 Then on the 12/27/2011 I found out that the building I purchased was A Quonset Hut style building which is the wrong style of building. I sent a letter to the US Buildings to cancel the sale and they gave me a refund then in March they took it back and sead I signed the contract. My credit union sead it was not a billing error and let them take the money from my credit card again on a different card number. Do I have any thing I can do about the wrong building the salesman sold me and refused to credit me. The past ten working days I have tried to contact US Buildings Manager (Jack) to ask for my deposit return he finally called when I was not available and left a message on my phone and he sead I four-footed my deposit and the building. Now that they got $7500.00 I would like to put a stop on my account so US Buildings can't get any more money out of my account.Do I have any thing I can do about the wrong building the salesman sold me and fefused to credit me. Then he sent me a picture of the right garage and sead it would cost me around $40.000 to $60.000 more.

I'm interested in buying an arched steel garage, and was calling different companies. I was calling in the evening and U.S. Buildings was the only one who had a sales person available. I described the purposes for the building, and that I was interested in size/price info. However, instead of giving useful info he launched into a scripted sales pitch which seemed unnecessary as I had called because I was interested in the product. I interrupted him and tried to get him to go back to sizes and prices. He gave me a price for an A-model garage of about $10K, and a Q-model for $9K. He did not mention or ask about any desired details like sky lights, doors, windows. He then said that they had a marketing program where, if we were flexible about size, we could get a model that had been ordered and not picked up/paid for/whatever. In order to participate in the plan we had to own the land and be willing to have people view the building on the outside on occasion when telephoned first. With this plan, we would save "thousands" of dollars off the prices he had quoted, but I would have to sign a non-disclosure agreement about the price. Moreover, not everyone qualifies for the special marketing program. It depends on your location, if you owned the land, what you are looking for and what they have available. Finally, he explained that they would be able to tell me what was available and whether we qualified for this special program until the marketing director met us at the property; AND they wanted assurance they we would be prepared to make a down payment immediately upon meeting with the marketing director. I assured the guy that I would not be willing to make the decision and a down payment the same day I was given the pricing information. He got frustrated and explained how quickly these special priced buildings went and how busy the marketing director was. And I repeated that I would not make a decision the same day I learned the pricing details, and then he pretty much ended the conversation. There was a pretty high ick factor from beginning to end. He claimed that the buildings were manufactured in Boone, NC. Indeed I ended up at this web site, not by searching for info about U.S. Buildings, but by Googling quonset hut scammers. No harm done in my case, but it was a definitely a high pressure, low information sales pitch. No one should ever buy anything from a company that uses these tactics.
