I have been looking for a good performance shop locally for some time now. I found Velocity Factor and was pleased with the proximity to my house. I needed a new silicone coupler for an after market intake system and decided to give Velocity Factor a try. They responded quickly to over the phone and had the parts for pick up same-day. I purchased the silicone coupler and was getting ready to install the part on the throttle body when I noticed some disfiguration in the material. The coupler appeared to have been cut with a razor blade. I called Velocity Factor the same day and they told me the part was brand new and to bring it back to the shop for their inspection. Upon arrival, they informed me that they had, "...cut off" a logo on the coupler using a razor blade. They did such a poor job at it that they cut through the first layer of material and into the second layer, weakening the coupler and decreasing its lifespan. The owner told me that he didn't have anymore and refused to get me a new one. When I asked if he could order a new one for me he firmly replied no! Note* I purchased and brought back this defective part within an hour. I wonder about this company's willingness to stand by their work escpecially if they give customers a hard time about a $30.00 part? Beware of getting expensive modifications done at this performance shop!
