I recently signed up for the special offer--$84.99 triple play. The salesperson said we would receive telephone, television and internet, plus foreign language channels and High Definition, free installation, etc. We decided to upgrade to the faster 25/25 service and since we have several boxes in our house, we knew we would be charged an additional $9.99 per box.

We went over the costs with the saleswoman at length. She assured us that our total would be $124.95 per month for the first year, plus tax.

The service was installed well and we did enjoy the service.

But, then--WHAMMO! They sent out a bill for $332.68!

We phoned the billing department and they said the salesperson was wrong--she "shouldn't have promised us all those items" and, no, we were not going to be charged what she told us we were.

How disappointing that the salespeople will tell you anything to make the sale, then, you are overcharged.

GET YOUR COSTS IN WRITING, that is my advice!

This is the service we thought we were signing up for!
