I am writing this letter on behalf of other citizens, like myself, who have been hoodwinked by a large corporation. This happen to me and I’m sure I’m not the only one this has happened to, and we need help to put a stop to it, by banding
together and ask a higher authority for help. Here is what happened to me and if this has happened to you, then let’s band together and put a stop to it now! Verizon has been advertizing a better TV (VIOS) reception at a low price. So I called and got the information I wanted, and got a quote for about $150 a month with Show time and HBO. So I signed up. I didn’t ask for anything else, but they
gave me every all of their movie channels. So I assumed this was a promotion on their part. Ten days goes by and I receive a bill for $218 plus change. I called immediately and asked why the high price, when I agreed to $150.00. They
told me it was because I had all the movie channels (which I didn’t ask for), so after some bickering and no results, I asked for a supervisor. She came on the phone and we discussed all the above and she said if we delete all the
movie channels except HBO and Cinemax (which evidentially comes together) we can give you the extreme package with HBO and Cinemax for $141.00 a month. And we will give you credit for the other movie channels that you didn’t request. I
said great, it’s a deal. Low and behold, I get this month bill ($187.00) and with the credit, my amount for this month is $152.00. Which means my next month bill will be approx. $187.00. WHAT THE HELL HAPPEN TO THE $141.00 I AGREED TO? I called again and was given an accounting of what my bill said. I told them I could read and know what it said, but what about the $141.00 and she told me that was a mis quote and was sorry for that, and could not do anything about
it. Again I asked for a supervisor and his demeanor was horrible. This is what he kept saying to me with out hearing my side of the story. “sorry sir” “sorry sir” “can’t do anything about it, sir”…that was it, and that’s how it stands right now. So, I’m supposed to believe that as long as you are a big corporation, you can lie, cheat, mis-quote, and push the little guy around with out any repercussions….I think not! I believe this is fraud, saying one thing and doing another. If this has happened to you, please join me and fight this corporation so it will stop cheating the little guy…..you!
