Verizon Wireless Verizon Wireless charged activation fee when website promised free activation Internet

As a new customer I ordered 3 cell phones online at Verizon Wireless. The website advertised free activation with any purchase of cell phone online. I get my first bill and there are 3 activation fees. I call Verizon and I was told because I purchased the phones on a weekend, I was not qualified for the activation fees. The website did not plainly state this. The only thing the website stated in big fonts was free activation. I am still fighting to get the fees removed and Verizon so far has refused to remove them. I filed a complaint with a manager and have yet to receive a reply.
I think it is sham to charge an activation fee since it cost nothing for a cellular provider to activate a phone. It is pure price gouging and padding for their pockets and nothing more.
Also, to have stipulations of when you purchase a phone is quite deceptive since the big fonts say free activation and doesn't state any specific time frame.
