A contractor hired Vincenzo Torcasio of Aquascapes in Danbury, CT as a sub contractor to construct a pool for a contract price of $72,000. A $7,000 deposit was given to Vinny Torcasio before construction of the pool began. The contract between these two parties stated that the next payment was to be $58,000, however this payment was to be presented before the majority of the job was completed. Vincent Torcasio of Aquascapes received a check in the amount of $58,000, however was instructed to wait to deposit this check until he was given notice that the funds were available. Vinny Torcasio said he needed to be paid money immediately to continue his work on the job so he was issued another check of $20,000 in place of the $58,000 check to continue the job. When given this $20,000 check, Vincent Torcasio did not return the $58,000 check. Vincent Torcasio immediately went to the bank and deposited both checks, the $58,000 check and the $20,000 check totaling $78,000. At this time, Mr. Torcasio never returned to the job site, completing only 1/3 of the contracted job. Numerous phone calls were place to Vincenzo Torcasio by the contractor regarding this situation, that were never returned. Since the above events, Vincent Torcasio has vindictively gone after the contractor for $78,000, the sum of the 2 checks he was issued, plus his attorney fees, stating a total sum of $100,000. Mr. Torcasio only completed 1/3 of the project ($24,000). The contractor has paid him a total of $29,000 to compensate him for the work that he did complete. In trying to strong arm this contractor into paying him more money, Vincenzo Torcasio has contacted the media, written threatening emails and has posted false information on sites such as this one. Vincent Torcasio is also initiated another law suit regarding his home and is trying to con money through this suit as well. Please be aware of Vincent Torcasio of Aquascapes in Danbury, CT. Think twice before signing any contract with him and his company as he may take prey. This man has to be stopped.
