VisionMax White Van/SUV scam, individual-s will approach you in public offer expensive projector $6500 with receipt for $500 Internet

Was approached by a man driving a new WHITE SUV in the parking lot of Home Depot in Kapolei, HI island of Oahu. He stated he was an AV installation technician with a local AV company and was on his way to an installation but his boss had made an error in the order and he had an "extra" projector that was worth $6500 and he wanted to sell it for $500 before he when to his next job. The brand was VisionMax model was HD3K. He even had a receipt showIng the price of $6500. I was very skeptical because why would this random person who was essentially stealing from his company want to sell this supposed top of the line projector for $500. I told him a friend of mine may be interested and he said I should call them right away since he really had to get to the job site asap. After I called my friend and attempted to explain the specs of the projector he stated "I install these everyday let me explain it to him" and he did his pitch to my friend. After he was done I got bal in the phone and my friend stated he google the model and nothing came up how ever he found the website and a different model number Visionmax HD2K. He then googled HD2K an found a scam alert stating exactly what I was experiencing at that moment. I told the scanner that neither I nor my friend was interested and he stated that what if he sold it for $200 and I said no thanks. He was still persistent on the fact that he had a receipt showing $6500 an was just trying to help me get a great deal. I again declined and he left quite upset. Thank God foe the power of the Internet.
