wells fargo home mortgage Borrower Counseling Program is a Scam Des Moines, Iowa
18th of Jan, 2011 by User317016
The Wells Fargo Borrower Couseling Program was offered to me when I was behind by a partial payment for one month on my mortgage. Multiple and identical letters were received. Basically they want you to FAX all of your financial info to them regarding expenses and income. They lead you to believe that you will be considered for a mortgage modification.

What you end up with is a never ending revolving circle where no one at the bank will help at all. Once they receive your info they say that they will contact you in 7 days with a decision. First of all, they will not contact you. When you then call them they will claim that you haven't sent the proper info. So you do it again. And you wait. You call and they will again tell you that 7 days from your call you will get a decision. You wait 7 days and reperat the process over and over. And of course each time you call they want you to update your financial info because a week has passed. It's a scam to get info out of their borrowers to use against them in foreclosure proceedings.

They don't want your info - they want your house !
