Wendy's Wendy's Never getting orders right, hold back items because they want to eat them but not pay madison, Indiana |

Everytime I go to this Wendy's, they leave something out of the bag. They try to smash our orders into as few bags as possible, that way they are hard to examine while you are at the window and you won't catch their omissions. Their favorite is to leave out the chicken nuggets, but sometimes it is a chive baked potato. Everytime I'm at that window, I think I can see everything in my order, but they manage to fool me. Tonight, I thought the bags were complete. We decided to pull over and eat, since we knew we'd probably have to go back. I emptied the bags, and sure enough, we were short not one, but two items! A chive potato and a five piece chicken nuggets. These weren't the ordinary .99 cent nuggets, but the 1.39 ones. Why should non-spicy nuggets cost .40 cents more? That in itself is a ripoff. I mean you dish out the same nuggets, but actually they have less materials since there is no spice, but you charge more for them!? Anyhow, I volunteered to go back in the store and get the missing items. I noticed a big greasy looking drive-thru attendant and a cashier standing in the drive-thru window, and one was eating nuggets, and the other had a potato! I told the girl eating the potato I needed my missing food. She proceeded to argue with me, and demanded to see a receipt. She thought I couldn't produce one. I went back to the car and found her precious receipt. Then she told me that I didn't pay for the non-spicy nuggets, I would have to pay her .43 cents if I didn't want spicy! Can you believe that? Made me make two trips in because they were stealing food from the customers' bags, and then instead of just givng me my nuggets, wanted to argue over .43 cents. I'm mad about all of this. But I know now that they are stealing food from the bags and making it hard for customers to notice, because they think we won't come back, and if we do, they pull the old demand to see the receipt trick and hope we don't have it (more likely, they didn't hand the receipt out either). Beware! This Wendy's is trying to rip customers off, especially in the drive-thru. Does anyone have any ideas how I can prove this theft to management, or if management is in on it, how can I prove it to corporate? |
