Try to cancel membership, and they keep charging

Workout World has the worst cancellation policy. I see how they are still in existence. They continue to profit from people that cancel - or try to cancel. I have read the same complaint from so many other people. I last used the gym in December 2009, tried to cancel and still have an ongoing problem with them. It is the most frustrating thing. They do not have a person that you can speak to. Call the headquarters, and all you get is a recording that the voice mailbox is full. I also sent the cancellation notice along with a letter; I didn't hear from them. I also thought it was over, until a received a letter from collections. They really have a good way of dealing with customers. It is funny how you can can talk to anyone at any location to join, or to pay your membership dues, but, what a different story when it comes to wanting to cancel!! Save yourself a big headache and a lot of money and stay away from this gym. It is not worth it.
