Xtreme SoCal Scamming, fraud, deceitful, dishonest, Internet
21st of Nov, 2011 by User519222
I was approached by a Xtreme SoCal representative (or thats what they call themselves i guess) at Moorpark College on the 19th of October 2011. I was with a friend walking to class when i got asked the question if I would like to go snowboarding, skydiving, etc. My friend was more interested in it so i stayed to hear what they had to say. What the rep said (Franke Farelli) was that they write down our email and phone number and send us an email to receive special offers. No harm in that you would think. So he takes our emails and names down then then asks us to sign this paper so he can give us these booklets because they have "special codes in them". Im thinking to myself okay. he had a clip board that could hold papers inside and gave it to us. Many booklets were on top of the paper i signed. He was obviously talking about Xtreme Socal while we both were signing. talking about how hes on facebook and how he goes all the time, etc. So when we got done signing he asked "you guys are students here right? oh well it doesn't matter. we are suppose to give these out to Moorpark kids but i guess it doesnt matter." then I thought, this guy is like a sneaky employee. Then he asks to see our cards to verify our names. he scratched our cards on the paper AFTER we signed it. so im thinking why do you need that? I even asked. This card has no money on it and I am not buying this right now. I wait for an email right? He assured me that they send an email first then you pay, since they cant charge you without consent. "that would be illegal" he said. He also didn't want me to overdraft. So on the paper he writes "Post date 23" saying he would send me email on the 23rd of october. at the end of the conversation he shook me and my friends hand and said "excuse me guys I have to run to lunch". He gave us the 2 books with the papers inside and ran off. we opened the books and started reading and got very concerned. He checked off himself that we were going to make one payment of around $100. he also checked off the consent check marks and wrote a simi valley zip code down even though we never told him a zip code to write down. I was 17 years old when I signed that, and today I got called from (818) 483-3777 which is posted on Xtremesocal.com website as the billing person named Jacquelyn. She called today on november 21, 2011 telling me that my card didn't go through and that they needed a card to put in today. She said she was filling all her papers out today. I told them that I got scammed at moorpark and the representative basically signed my contract for me. She said "are you reffering to Franke Farelli?" I agreed. She said "oh we let him go because he was scamming people." in my head im thinking.. yeah im one of those people lady. After she said that he was a scammer, she still wanted my credit card information since I did not cancel within 3 days. She said you signed a legal contract and if you dont come up with a card then i will refer you to the card holders. At this point i think she is being a very disrespectful billing person for this company. I told her I was 17 and her response was, "your going to have to prove it since everyone says that to get out of their contracts." she said I need you to send me a drivers license or Card with your birthday on it and name. she said that i needed to do it by today because shes "leaving soon". My schedule does not evolve around hers. First off. She tried contacting me over a month after i signed this paper (which is void since I was 17.) second. She is basically calling me a liar over the phone and just wants more of my information. third. She even said the sales person was let go for scamming people. WOW big hint right there. fourth. she had an attitude. after her threats of sending my information to card holders i hung up. They dont have my birthday on file, therefore cant refer me to a card holder. My card is canceled and I received no services. Their site was down for a whole week during the last week of october. I was a minor and got scammed. She is STILL calling to get money from me after knowing all of this. I reported it to Moorpark police since it happened to my friends as well. anyone that likes this company, best of luck to you. I dont have $100 bucks to throw away. I am a college student with a tight budget.
