I am sure I am one of many who have been scammed by xxxcupid.com. Well, I do not initally remember how the site found me, but when I saw the beautiful local women that were supposively in my area. I have been on dating sites before and am currently on 2 right now. In most dating sites, people who are visiting the site are allowed to browse multiple pics and read profiles. This site does have the feature that dating sites usually allow you to utilize, even before you are a paying member and that is to send a friend request to someone that interests you. Before I put up my pics, and although I had only been on the site for about 2 mins, I recieved 2 friend requests and one of the girls I thought looked beautiful on her "1 and only" profiel picture so I decided i would sign up. I initally in the pay via credit card section clicked on the silver package, which here was 30$ a month, however, when I check my account settings, I see I am a gold member and instead of 1 payment of 29.95, I see that I have been charged 149.95 and the most expenxsive package. I immediately panic, for I have just paid %150 for a site that I have been on for 5 mins, yet I am apparently so impressed that I would pay that much??? No, I was falsely charged. I clicked on the $30, however, the site would indicate differently. I get on a chat and with someone who supposively answers inquires online on the customer care section. I supposively talk with a live representataive and explain my mishap, even though I had my doubts on making such a huge mistake. So when I talk to the representative online, I am asked for the first 4 digits in my profile and the last 4 as well. After conversing for about 10 minutes, I take full responsibility for my mistake and am told to check the bank and I have been reimbursed. I see my email does indicate that I had been charged $150, then reimbursed as the man said. I wake up this morning to check to see who I may have been contacted by and when I see my bank of america card was charged, then reimbursed, and charged the $150 again. I go to check the site and see when I google about this site I read about its scams that the grls are not real. I go to check on the messages and see that the responses are artifical and I can only look at the profile picture and none otheres. I was unable to click on the websites contact information either. I read on google that one witness says that the girls in the case, flirt and say little things to keep the buyers interest to get more money off us to subscribe each month. I click on the profile and not one of them can I see more than just the profile picture. I tried to find their contact information to explain I have been blatantly and falsely charged. I told the representative I accidently paid the yearly total instead of the monthly payment. The online assisting operator for the website tells me that I was charged, then my money was transferred back, which in my email, I have proof of this. I Then I see that just 3 minutes after my cancellation of membership for the website, that I had been charged an additional $150, which I did not authorize, nor permit them to do so. I could have just called my bank and told them that I have no idea how, but some website somehow found my information online and charged my card to make money off me and I have never seen this site before or even heard of it, but I wanted to be honest. So instead oflying to try to keep my150, I decided to go on here and be honest about what happened. The site is fake, the pictures of the girls may be real, but the girls themselves are not...I was charged without even knowing or permitting the site to do so. I am out 150$, which for me is a lot. I am a paraplegic, with a mental illness as well. I am a single father on social security that makes about $800 per month with bills to pay, among other expenses for me, my son and my family and friends. I told the operator when I went to customer service that I did not want to pay the 150, for that is too steep for me right now. He said that it wasn't a problem and to try to be careful not to make mistake like that and only wanted the pay per montyly plan. I have been decieved and lied to, but also I feel violated that I could be charged such an incrdible amount of money without giving my permission to do so.
