AccuRise IMC Captiol Stealing from and preying on Military Families!!!! Internet, California |

It took me a while to put all of the pieces together and figure out exactly how we were being financially raped by this company, but now I've got it. Because this "company" uses three different business names to confuse its customers, other may have the same trouble. We are a military family that has finally been given a duty station that will last a while. We were working on our credit successfully, but still had a long way to go when we found a house that we loved. In an effort to try getting things done quickly we agreed to the offer this company presented. This is how it happened to us. Matthew at IMC Capitol (extension 117) contacted me and let me know that he could run a comprehensive credit report for $59, and if our credit was something they could work with, he would call and let us know our options. Matthew emailed our credit reports and called to let me know that "our credit is exactly the type they're looking for." He explained that since most of our credit issues were due to small scale collections and charge-offs, it would be no problem to have many of them removed. He guarunteed us a 100 point rise within 3 months, but confidently told me that he thought a rise of 150 points was very likely. This program would cost $700, but the $59 credit report fee would count towards the program cost. I agreed. About two days later I got login information for a site called creditstatusnow.com, where I would be able to view progress on my credit report as items were removed. After 2 months my credit score had DROPPED 30 points due to disputes. I called the contact number provided which took me to "Commercial Credit Consultants." I had a fit and told the woman on the line that I just wanted them to stop what they were doing. She told me that there were 30 more days (approx) until I could request my refund. She quieted my anger and I fell for her explanation that I needed to be patient and things would bounce back up as things dropped off of my report. I never recieved ANY letters from anywhere to submit to them as they asked. I started noticing bank drafts for the amount of $159.98 from COMM CR. I left "notes" on creditstatusnow.com requesting my refund when the 3 months was up, and got an email stating that I actually had a 6 month plan and could not request a refund until the end of six months. I patiently waited and watched my credit score get worse. On June 5 (the date they stated I could get my refund) I requested it again, and have had no contact all from anyone. In addition, I had another debit from my bank account show up for $159.98 - this time under the company name of Accurise. RUN AWAY!!! This has now cost us over $1200, and after working on our own credit for a year and raising it 100 points, they have only taken 6 months to take away 30-40 points each on my credit as well as my husband's. |
