On November 19, 2010 my husband and I bought a 2001 Audi Allroad for $10,094.00 in cash. At the close of the shop, my husband went to pick up the car for delivery. About a mile down the road the check engine light went off. My husband called the shop and told them and he told him to bring it in the next day. We dropped it off and then they called and said the car was ready for us. We picked it up and went away for the weekend. As we were driving later the next day on Saturday, the check engine light went off. On our way home the light for the suspension was also on. On Monday the 23rd, we took the car back to the shop and told them what was going on. They kept the car for a couple of days and then called us and told us the car was all set. We went to pick it up again. We never got work repairs on the car to know what exactly was done. They told us they would fix the problem and the problems should have been done before they sold the car to us. Again in the beginning of December the check engine light and suspension lights went off again. My husband called them again and they told us to continue driving the car and it was fine. We continued driving the car and then it started to sound and run funny. On January 5, 2011 we took the car back and left it there and told them to fix the problem for good and we weren't taking it until it was fixed. We were tired of bring the car back and forth and having them not fix the problem correctly. We left the car there and never heard from them. They never called to let us know what was going on with the car. We would call numerous times and his wife who was the receptionist would tell us that Mike was not there or he woulod relay a message to us. We were told that the were still looking for the problem or the parts were ordered and they were still waiting for them. We were never told what the problems were. We would call again and again to talk to Mike and again and again we were get they were waiting on parts, or we need a few more days to finish. I must have called about 20 times leaving messages for Mike to call me. He was always busy or not there. The car was there for 6 months. I finally called after calling daily and got Mike who answered the call. He told me he wasn't fixing the car and told me the part alone was $3,200.00 and he wasn't taking care of it now. He also told me we couldn't drive the car off the lot not because the car didn't have 2nd or 4th gears. We took the car to an audi specialist to see exactly what was wrong with the car and to see what Mike had done to the car. We were told that the car needed $7000.00 worth of repairs and he didn't understand how this guy got away with selling this car to us the way he did. The car needs a new transmission, 2 suspension air bags, the belt needs to be serviced, a battery, and a few other repairs. |
