I ordered a motherboard through Alien Computer Technologies on 3-24-11 Billed $163.84 on 3-26-11 through the credit card. The credit card showed CompuTechnologies as the business. Received email on 3-24-11 with 5 pages of policies that I never agreed to or saw before I purchased the product. When I ordered the product it said it was to ship on 3-31-11. I placed order with the credit card and billing address and then I put in the shipping address just like every company has. I received a confirmation on 3-27-11 that stated that the product is only shipped to the billable address on the credit card, which is the billing P.O. Box number. Never did it state that when I ordered. I received another email 3-27-11 stating shipping date was on 3-31-11. On the 3-27-11 email it than showed the ship to address as the P.O. Box and then stated they cannot ship to any other address other than the billable address on the card. After I clearly remember having to put a billing address and shipping
address when I ordered the product. They stated once the item is ready to ship I will receive a shipment confirmation and an invoice with shipping details. Received email on 3-31-11, with shipment date of 3-31-11. On 4-7-11 I went to the support center where I had to jump through hoops and click to agree to all the policies they had been sending me via emails. After 10 pages of policies I was finally able to send a 100 letter message. I did simply asking for a tracking number or shipping confirmation since I was supposed to receive one when it shipped 3-31-11. I got a reply through the support center on 4-10-11 at 23:08 stating that the item left the warehouse on 4-7-11. And I would receive a tracking number. On 4-10-11 I received an email stating the product was shipped a few business days ago and please dont respond or contact them until I receive an invoice. I jumped through all the hoops again in the support center and sent another message on 4-14-11 stating it had been over the 10 business days they said it would take to receive the product. I received a message back through the support center stating they do not ship to P.O. Boxes and it is still within the policies shipment range, that I only had to agree to, to be able to send them a message. Did not agree nor ever see any of the policies when I ordered the product. I sent them another message on 4-15-11 wondering where the shipping confirmation and invoice was. Received email on 4-18-11, having another disclaimer and different policies. Finally received an reply to my ticket from 4-18 on 4-20-11 Sent another ticket 4-22 simply stating that if I had not received a shipping confirmation, tracking number or invoice by the 25th I would like to cancel my order. They replied 4-23-11 by giving me there policies again. I sent them another support message on 4-25-11 08:08 stating that I was going to order the product from another company so if they could please credit back the card because obviously they were not going to send it or an invoice or shipping confirmation. I received 2 emails on 4-25-11, 23:15 with the policies and then another one with a mock up invoice that just worded the policies and information differently. So they are now allowed to state that they sent me an invoice. Which it clearly was a fake someone just throught together to shut me up. nor did I EVER receive a shipping confirmation or tracking number. On 4-26-11 I called Capital One and disputed my transaction. I received a package on 4-29-11 at the post office that needed 2 different sets of signatures and the only label on the package was my address and P.O. Box 472, 07834. I refused the package after I left it at the post office and went to my computer and searched P.O. Box 472, 07834 when CompuTechnologies came up in the search. I received a letter from capital one on 5-17-11 stating that the merchant agreed to a refund of $98.03, however the shipping and handling and restocking fee of $65.84 are non-refundable. It was rebilled on my credit card on 5-20-11. I received a letter from CompuTechnologies stating that I broke policy and needed to send $80.45 for refusing package + $60.00 chargeback fee = $140.45 to them by 6-1-11 plus the $65.84 that I had already paid them. I tried to contact company, impossible nor do they reply back to the support tickets. On 6-20-11 I received another letter stating that they are sending it to a collection agency and I owe them another $40 for collections fee. So now I owe them $180.45 + the 65.84 which I have already paid. I feel this company is a scam, no email, no phone number, I never agreed to the policies until I tried to contact them. They have to hide their name CompuTechnologies under other names so people are not able to search engine them and see how they really do business. Someone needs to take action on this company because they are just scamming and scaring people. I had no problem paying the $65.84 which is outrageous for shipping, handling and restocking on a $120.00 part. But to pay the entire amount for the product, chargeback and collections NO THANK YOU. I would gladly like to settle this with them business to business however to not be able to contact a live person makes that impossible. Yes I ordered it, yes I refused shipment after 5 weeks of runaround and asking them to cancel my order. I ordered the exact same part from another company and recieved it in 2 days.....I ordered this for a business, I work in customer service, I mail things to customers all the time. So I understand policies and why they are there. But they have clearely crossed a line. All I can say it watch out, who knows what website name they will set up next all secretively ran by CompuTechnologies. Sarah, Wisconsin
