Amazon Payments Amazon Payments Put Me In Collection for No Reason san francisco, Internet
18th of Aug, 2011 by User868380
I signed up with Kickstarter.com to fund my painting trip. I needed an amazon payments account in order to set up my Kickstarter account. This was a hassle from the beginning. When I had trouble and attempted to contact Amazon payments, first they said no one could talk to me from Amazon payments. They can't be called or contacted by any other method than email, . When I finally get through they said I needed to contact my bank there was nothing I could do. When I was finally set up after 10 days of going back and forth with them I was funded at Kickstarter and went to Amazon Payments to collect my money. Since their system is not intuitive I accidentally transferred money from my bank account to Amazon payments instead of the other way around. I promptly realized my mistake and called Amazon payments again. They couldn't do anything. There was no one they could call, no one could do a damn thing. Their only suggestion was again to call my bank and have them put a stop payment. So I called my bank and they very kindly put a stop payment for me. I thought all was well until I received a collections notice from TRS because of the stop payment to Amazon. Oh did I mention you can't even get Amazon payments on the phone until after 10am EST? So I called them again. I was told I'd get a response by email within 24 to 48 hrs. That evening I got an email from someone in India telling me how their bank transfers work and they hoped that helped me. NOT. So I called again in the morning to be told to call back in 2 hours since they weren't open yet. I just called now. I spent 40 mins arguing with 3 people explaining how I would simply like someone from Amazon to call TRS and explain that I am not in collections and I need to be taken off their list. Again, Amazon could do nothing. No one can call their billing department, no one can look at my account and fix it, no one can do anything but advise me to take up the issue with TRS... Basically Amazon doesn't take responsibility for anything they do or their business. So I have sent in a dispute to TRS and hopefully they will be able to clear up this mess because Amazon just answers the phone to chat and have no idea where to begin to help anyone. Avoid them at all costs.
