Ari Zoldan Abusing college students & employees New York, New York
30th of Jun, 2011 by User146384
I am writing this report to support a recent report against Ari Zoldan and his company Quantum Networks (www.quantum-wireless.com). The purpose of this report is that hopefully when the next prospective intern/employee googles Quantum Networks, Quantum Wireless, quantum-co.com, or Ari Zoldan they stumble upon this report and go into the interview informed. Ari Zoldan & Quantum Networks is guilty of providing false information to prospective interns and employees during their interview period. The most common misinformation is given regarding future compensation and continued employment as well as the task that the person will be performing. A common tactic they will use is to promise an intern a position where they will be learning about their particular field (ie., computer science, marketing, social media) and will instead put them by a phone and have them do customer service or cold calling. The said intern is then given arbitrary dates of when their menial labor will be finished and they can begin learning what they are actually interested in - when that date comes it is either pushed back or the said person is let go. The key factor here is that a college student does not yet know his worth as a worker so he becomes easy prey for scavengers such as Mr. Zoldan. When a said intern/employee begins to realize his worth to the company and starts asking for money or a better position a common tactic taken by the CEO is to send them an email filled with foul language, threats, and even personal insults. I hope the few people who have received said emails find enough courage to put them on the internet - it would help further our cause. The unfortunate thing is that these actions do not breach the border of legality, so legal action cannot be taken. As far as morality goes it is clear that the ownership of Quantum Networks has none. The point and purpose of this report is awareness, and if even one college student passes up Quantum Networks and Ari Zoldan thereby avoiding the abuse they are sure to receive there - my job is done.

Quantum-Wireless takes great pride in its internship program. It is obvious that both this listing and the comment are from a disgruntled former intern. Quantum has solidified relationships with some of the top universities in NYC and abroad, including Macaulay Honors College, Yeshiva University, Euromed Management and ISEP (Paris). We have both paid and unpaid interns.

Our unpaid interns are awarded course credit through their schools and also receive comprehensive training at great expense to our full-time employees. This is in accord with current labor laws. Two of the current federal criteria for unpaid internships are:

- At the end of the training, the trainees are not necessarily entitled to a job
- Both the trainee and the employer understand that the trainee is not entitled to wages during the training period

In accord with these laws, Quantum never makes promises of payment or employment to unpaid interns. Whether unpaid interns want to accept this reality or not is a different story.

This is my personal experience. In my search for an internship, majority of companies are looking for an intern to either do their grunt work or take on tasks that their company can't afford to hire a professional on. Ari Zoldan has personally offered me an amazing opportunity at Quantum. In the short time that i have been an intern in their company I have been able to learn a wide variety of skills about business growth and marketing strategies. However the most amazing and almost unbelievable aspect of my internship is the trust Ari has given me. He has introduced me to many of his high profile clients on my first day. And the clients I will be working for, he introduces me as the one in charge and gives me full credit for any future work that will be done for them. Anyone who has worked for any company or employer knows that the boss usually takes full credit and profit for their employees' work, so the fact that I am given full credit from the very beginning is extremely rare commodity especially for an employment in a large business.

The main problem that students and recent graduates have is that they are never given an opportunity to show what they are fully capable of. We are quickly judged on our lack of experience and placed in a position where our skills are not used and it would take years before we can reach our desired position. If an intern at Quantum has the drive, skill, and smarts Quantum will quickly recognize it and give you opportunities that thousands of others would never have in a life time. However, if the intern sits at their desk waiting to be told what to do and just does the bare minimum of what is required of them, then why would you expect to be hired. Anyone who has interned at Quantum knows that they have tons of projects rhat are being tackled daily, and if you don't step up and offer help and show them what you can offer, then you will just answer phones and be looked over. This grammar school mentality that many have, expecting the world to stop and accommodate them is rediculous. Companies will not hold your hand and throw opportunities on your lap if you have done nothing to prove you deserve it. Employees who use excuses as: "I don't have to do that, " "Thats not my job, " "Oh, no one told me, " will never be given opportunities that those who believe in taking pride in their work no matter what the job is, who put work hard and have dedication in everything they do regardless of the return, and simply believe that if they want it, they better damn work for it! Quantum is by far one of the best places to find opportunities that most seasined professions dream of.
