Barry's Tickets Problems with getting Barry's Tickets to refund for tickets that were mislabeled Calabasa , California

I purchased 2 tickets for James Taylor concert in Des Moines Iowa for March 2 on line. The description was row KK in the orchestra section for a grand total of $675. When the tickets arrived, I went on the venue's website to see the floor plan and there are only 3 rows in the orchestra section and Row KK is 5 rows from the back of the center. The face value of the tickets were $65 each.


I contacted Barry's Tickets by phone and was given the run around about Row KK was what I had ordered and that I would have a good view. lol After about the 3rd call, I told the person on the phone that I was going to contact my credit card company and was told to hold on a moment and then they came back on saying that someone would call me back. I did receive a call from a person that said they were one of the owners and wanted to resolve my problem. He was wanting to upgrade me and I told him that I wanted a complete refund. I was asked if I was not wanting tickets and I said that at that point I would about as soon buy from a scalper on the street. He then told me to send the tickets back and he would give me a refund.


I never heard anything and my confirmation showed that they received the tickets 2 days after I mailed them. I called and was put in touch with the person and he said that he had gotten the tickets and would give me a complete refund.


A few days later, I received a check in the mail for $126. I called back and was again put in touch with that person and he said that I was supposed to have gotten a complete refund and he was going to put me on hold while he checked with the accounting department. The next thing I know, there is the recording that comes on saying to hang up and try my call again. I was cut off. I have tried on 2 more occasions to contact this person, but he is not in the office.


So, here I sit, spent$675 for2 junk tickets and a$126 refundcheck.
