The total charge for the tv was $902.99 including tax and my plan was to split the payment between two debit cards from two separate checking accounts belonging to me, since no one account alone contained enough funds to cover the charge.

I gave them the first debit card and asked that they charge $550.00 to the account, the clerk swiped the card and told me it had been denied. I knew this was not possible since I had just checked the ballance, and had them try again and again with the same result. I then called my bank where a representative confirmed a $550.00 debit from best buy, but the best buy system did not show an approved transaction.

Even after I had the manager talk with my bank, they would still not aknowledge that an error had occurred with their system. They were completly insulting and offered no solution to the problem, and kept insisting that they had not taken any money from my account even though my bank confirmed that they had. they insisted no error had occured and i just had to "Deal with it myself"

So i basically had to leave the store with no money left in my account and no merchandise to show for it.

IF i stole $550.00 from someone i would be arrested. Why not them????
